My bookmarks previously would be displayed on the left of the screen when I start Firefox. For some reason someone thought it would be an improvement to force me to use another click to show my bookmarks. Forcing the user to make more clicks is NEVER a good design choice. There seems to be no setting for getting my bookmarks displayed by default. Now there is just a setting whether or not to show a "sidebar" with a button I must click to show the bookmarks. Bring back my bookmarks please, or add a setting to allow me to get them back.

At the present moment Firefox prevents my screen saver from starting when a video is playing in the browser. I would like to completely disable this ability so that Firefox can never interfere with the screen saver.

How can I do this?

I have noticed Firefox is ignoring the max_pages and transient max_pages settings, both set to 999999 and still deleting browsing history after 2-3 months here.

What can be done? Is there a way to get the developers to fix this so it stops deleting, ideally by adding a boolean setting?

My option to "Open a specific page or set of pages" has vanished!!!

Originally a page I play backgammon at wasn't displaying properly, my graphics drivers are up to date so I shut down the browser, when that didn't work I was going to uninstall but at the beginning of that process I was given the option to refresh so I chose that instead.

Unfortunately it took me a hot minute or two to realise my browser was no longer opening a specific page it always had done.

Where has that option gone?

With the new update came profiles, which is pretty useless for me. However, it bugs me that the firefox icon on the taskbar now has the profiles' star on it. Is there a way to remove this?

I was able to play Words With Friends 2 and Words With Friends on Messenger up to about 4 months ago then all of a sudden I can't. I can on Microsoft Edge but I don't like Microsoft. I prefer FireFox. What do I need to do?

I'm currently experiencing an issue with Picture-in-Picture (PiP) on Firefox. I am using Ubuntu 24.04.2. When I activate PiP for a video, the floating window opens correctly, but it minimizes or disappears as soon as I switch tabs or click on another window. I believe PiP should remain visible and floating while browsing other tabs or applications. Could you please confirm if this is a known issue and whether there are any plans to address it for Wayland users? Thank you for your time and support.

I have depended and supported the use of firefox as my default browser. I have always backed up my extremely large bookmark file in html. yesterday I went to use brouser and my toolbar and bookmarks were gone. after wasting most of my day trying to retreave them. I have tried to import from html file, other browser. I keep getting error message. says cause is file being used by something else. i have tried uninstall reinstall, system restore, disabling all virus protection.plus more. I have had to use edge and chrome!!!!! AHHHH need a solution.

Each time I shut my Mac off and the next day open it up again, Firefox opens up and there are NO bookmarks on the left side. So I have to do the Command B to get them back up. I have neverf had to do this until recently??????

I discovered that I cannot sync with my google account protected from 2FA.

In detail:

1. Numbered list item showing something went wrong page when I am trying to login from (about:preferences#sync);
2. Numbered list item Login successful with another account not protected by 2FA

Note that:

1. Numbered list item cookie allowed;
2. Numbered list item using newest version;
3. Numbered list item protection set to standard;
4. Numbered list item tried to reinstall firefox

but none of them are successful.

I have also confirm that:

1. Numbered list item the account is able to sign in from other platform from mozilla(it's the account I'm using now)
2. Numbered list item there's no (significant) error logged from the F12 console
