I was working on strengthening my passwords using firefox as my browser and roboform. I had a us bank site open also at the time. I did not change that user id or password. However, ever since then I am unable to sign in to my us bank site. It brings up the site but as soon as I click to sign in, it greys the screen. I am able to sign in to every other site I have tried on the firefox browser. I am also able to sign in to my us bank site on at least two other browsers without issue. What has happened and how can I fix firefox to allow me to use it? The us bank site is not an app. Thank you.

Hey, my Firefox suddenly isn't making any sound anymore, but everything else on my PC is working fine. The troubleshooting page didn't help at all either. I'm getting desperate—restart, reinstalling, etc. didn't help either.

i have two computers. on computer 1, all is fine. on computer 2, when it restarted after an update, i got the error message -- "the bookmarks and history system will not be functional b/c one of firefox's files is in use by another application, some security software can cause this problem." this has NEVER happened before.

i found the "how to fix this problem" page, but i am completely baffled by it. what i want to know is what security software (i have avast apps) is likely to have caused this problem, and how do i fix it (i.e., what setting should i change?).

thanks for any help you can provide. i am NOT tech-savvy, this is the only time this has happened, and i've had both computers for years. they have both always had the same apps.

I consistently get this popup when I click on most websites if I want additional information, or to see a more detail. I cannot find any way to get this thing to stop doing that. Does anyone here know about this problem, and to get this thing to stop like period? Thanks for the help....I hope, because it is a real pain. I was using Opera before this, and it never had something like this . Operating System-Windows 11. Browser-Mozilla.

Hi guys, Just wanting to know why the Captcha is so hard. I sometimes need to do the captcha 30-40 times. Can't there be a simpler way to do this. it's very frustrating when I google an address that I need to go to but it takes 15 minutes to get through the captcha. I end up closing Firefox & opening Chrome or Edge. Can something be done about this? Also, Captcha is not clear.. When it comes up with "Motorcycles" is the rider included in this? Or "Stairs" is the hand rail included in that? Please change it to make it simpler so I can continue using Firefox. I'm using Windows 10 on a computer.

Why does attempt at loading a UK Government web page (https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/) produce a "Secure connectionn failed - Error code: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR" message?

I managed to load the same web page by using Chrome.

This is my crash ID: bp-ff99f648-78ab-4cad-b1f5-7aaa70240902 I've already tried troubleshoot mode, same result. I do have a userContent.css file, but deleting it makes no difference, and I can think of no other major change I've made to my installation.

I would prefer not to have to reinstall Firefox.

Firefox freezes intermittently, and when I examine the situation with Windows' Task Manager, I see a large number of Firefox threads active while I have only two tabs in use, and memory usage running rapidly up to the 50-70% range (I have 16 GB). While I'm not qualified, it seems there may be a memory leak issue. The situation clears itself after a just few or a few tens of seconds, but then may recur within a minute or so. This started a few weeks ago, now happens almost daily and is making Firefox, my preferred browser, somewhat unusable.

Ever sense the last update when I try to log into quicken online or ga lottery online the user login page just siting there with the spinning blue circle and finally times out. This continues to happen even after clearing browser history. I tried to login to those same sites using another browser (Microsoft Edge) and they worked just fine with no issues.

How do i get the search URLs from the previous browser to pop up log-ins automatically to favorite sites when beginning to type in the URL ? Like using an old Social Media links - Rumble or Facebook .login ; or an Ebay log in a gmail log in?

Do i need to restart the computer ?

Firefox is set to the English (UK) language on my Windows 10 PC but I occasionally see Spanish words shown after the English word. Eg. BBC News provides trusted World and UK noticias news as well as local and regional … The word (in this case "noticias" ) appears with a faint, light blue background. Here's another example "BBC Business brings you the latest in Business news and cobertura from … Again word (in this case "cobertura" ) appears with a faint, light blue background. I've tried all the settings that I can find in Firefox and everything is set to UK English.

I do not understand why AFTER I used Firefox Delete History that my Charter.net email can no longer be accessed.' I have had Spectrum technicians over here, it is not in their wiring, or outside lines. They cannot go further. I AM AT HOME! I worked/talked with 4 different Charter/Spectrum people on the phone over a 3 day period. briefly I was able to get into the Charter account (Necessary because my VA & other medical appointments/communications are via charter.net) using Microsoft Edge. I no longer can. I am getting that message on Edge as well. I do not want to use Edge or Chrome, I want to use my Mozilla/Firefox/Thunderbird But that is another issue which I cannot get resolved. My monthly contributions to both get through but I cannot even get into Thunderbird for Months & can't get help. At 83, I am computer challenged. Nobody wants to make house calls. What is wrong? I'm really shocked that the developers at Firefox has not at all fixed the memory leak issue, which caused my PC to crash three times in a row. This is clearly unacceptable; even other browsers I use don't eat up a lot of RAM in a matter of seconds that ends up my PC lagging, or worse, crashing as a result. To the Firefox devs; why are you overlooking an ongoing issue that should've been easily fixed from the get-go, especially with updates that obviously have nothing to do with the memory leak issue? It's really easy to make such a popular browser not hog up memory so easily without causing so much lag, even on higher end PCs.

If the memory leak issue isn't fully resolved by greatly reducing memory usage, especially if I'm only using one or two tabs with me, I will have to consider seeking for another working browser that does not have a memory leak issue, and remove Firefox and never reinstall it altogether.

I want to access a banking site (Capitec.co.za) but am unable to land on their splash page - I just get a blank page, and wait. I can get access via TOR or Opera. I was told to enter using SAFE MODE "Shift+R+Firefox". Anyone know what the issue is? Without guessing. Windows on Thinkpad.
