hello,

I want to transfer my profile from an old laptop to a new one. i am not comfortable with uploading my passwords to the cloud as i do not understand how this is safe. i made tar.gz file with the entire profile, almost 1gb and put that on the new laptop. edited the profiles.ini and install.ini and expected the profile will load, but firefox simply does not work in that profile. it cannot browse and clicking the menu button in top right does nothing. Please, help. If I share data below that is the working profile, not the one that fails.

Can you please help with the following scenario.

Both, a Firefox sync master account and Firefox Relay extension are active when running the browser.

So, is it possible to change the master email addresses of both features (+ secondary email) ? I would like to use a new email address for authenticating in both features of Mozilla, but do not want to set up new accounts.

How can I do that in Firefox Sync and Relay?

This setting, "Always ask you where to save files," is definitely broken.

Proposed solution: "I believe you also need to go into Tools -> Settings -> General and set the Action for the types of downloads (Applications) to Always Ask for those types you want it to."

But this workaround should not be needed. "Always ask" means always ask. As in always. No other additional steps should be needed.

Can you folks please open a bug to get this fixed? This used to work just fine in (much) older versions of Firefox and Netscape. "Always ask" is supposed to mean always ask. Like, always.

cannot update browser. Currently using Linex Mint, #139, but latest is 150. As stated above, when I try to update, says browser update disabled by organization. Do not understand, I never authorized disabling browser updating.

The Facebook page on Firefox has the "fly-outs' overlapping the base page instead of the 'fly-out" appearing in a separate tab. When I use Chrome, which I do not want to, the "Fly-out" pops up correctly. I do not want to switch to Chrome ... How can this be fixed? Thank you!

Would it be possible to extend the "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" to not delete cookies from any domain stored in a bookmark? (I don't want to delete those as I'll get logged out/lose my preferences etc)

I successfully imported the book marks and see multiple bookmarks folders in library. At least one of them really has the bookmarks. But when I enable show bookmarks, they are nowhere to be seen

Please remove and do not add any AI/ML features to Firefox, it's the only mainstream browser of this kind left, i was planning on buying some merch but I don't think this company deserves my money if it tries to make cash off me in an insidious way either way

I am using 147 ESR and when I go to permissions and block all cookies for the site plex.tv the cookies are not blocked. If I go to the URL field and select the lock, it shows "clear cookies and site data" which means the cookies have being accepted.

Why are the cookies accepted from the site when I have set cookies "blocked"

Popup GUI elements if pulled up twice in quick succession spike my CPU usage and crash the program

some examples: -menu bar menus -the menu button -context menus (websites with their own context menus do not do this) -preview tooltips

I've tried disabling extensions, turning hardware acceleration off and on and disabling AI to no avail. Disabling the preview tooltips 'worked' but I'd prefer not to disable everything here. Are there any other settings that might help?

Again Firefox? Again? Third time the charm or something? Stop this ridiculous handoff from Search bar in page to URL bar for searches. It's not safe, helpful, or anything other than confusing. Give us the Option. Seriously, it is why we use FF in the first place, Despite tons of companies not supporting it well for website access. Is there a way to disable tab groups without going through about:config? Because I can't find it and there really should be...I have no idea how that feature works, I don't want it, but I keep ending up with groups unintentionally. I still don't know how I'm doing it. It's incredibly annoying and apparently incredibly easy to accidentally trigger and I'm sick of losing tab space to these random colored boxes for no apparent reason!
