Supposedly the download for the new version is done, but I got no prompt to drag the icon to the applications folder. Now what?

I was offered the upgrade and clicked the download which appeared to have finished. But while I had been told in the upgrade info to drag the icon to the apps folder, no icon appeared so that I could do that. I still have Firefox 3.6.16, not the upgrade.

Assuming you are on a Mac, check your desktop for the .dmg file. You could also open a new Finder window, perform a search (Cmd-F), and type in "Firefox." Good luck.
