Firefox Unable to Sync

more options

I have been using Firefox 52.9.0, and I know it is outdated but it still synced until a few days ago at least. Then the other day I updated my password to strengthen security. After that, I am unable to sync anymore. Is there a way to fix it? I need to continue to use Firefox 52.9.0. Please note that I do not need to be told about security issues as I am aware of them well enough.

I get the following message when I try to make Firefox to sync:

> Blocked by Content Security Policy

> This page has a content security policy that prevents it from being loaded in this way.

> Firefox prevented this page from loading in this way because the page has a content security policy > that disallows it.

Thank you.

From what you write it sounds that you only have this one Windows XP device connected to Sync.

What is the use case for Sync as Sync is meant to be used to sync data between multiple devices and not a backup ?I don't think that the Firefox account page (accounts.firefox.com) still supports Firefox 52, so as long as you do not try to use this page then Sync may continue to be working, but trying to change the password may not be a good idea.

I do not understand why the use for which sync is used in a particular instance is important for a device to sync.

I am having a terrible experience right now in the middle of the night. I am trying very hard to solve this problem, and it took me more than three hours just to post this message here at 3:00 o'clock in the morning. If anyone involved with Firefox sync sees this, please do something so I can sync my devices again. I have more than a dozen Windows XP machines running Firefox 52.9.0 here. It is already past five o'clock in the morning. Please do not damage my health anymore. Or I am dying soon.

Do you know any way to tell this to people running the Firefox sync system?

Thank you for your comment anyway. I appreciate it.

If Mozilla does not support us, we do not have to support them either. Why don't you delete Firefox and install a browser that runs on Windows XP such as Mypal 68? I think there is a way to circumvent this problem.

Firefox 52 is rather old now as it was released six years ago on March 7, 2017. Mozilla actually supported WinXP/Vista the longest of all the major web browsers by over two years longer. The old security/stability update Fx 52.9.0esr was released June 26, 2018.

I know that.

After using Firefox and other Mozilla software for more than 20 years, however, I strongly feel that Mozilla is run by someone else, other than their users, I mean. Mozilla never listens to their users, and that is why they lost so many users. They now have lost support by some of the major websites, facing compatibility issues.

There should have been no problems with continuing developing Firefox on Windows XP, let alone Firefox sync on Firefox 52.9.0 in my opinion. Mozilla should know that most computers last more than 20 years. Besides, it would have added precious 1% browser share to total Firefox share.

For this problem, I have developed a private portal site for myself to circumvent this kind of problem for good. I also use Mypal 68 on Windows XP now.

So, I now say good-bye to someone else's Firefox and Mozilla.
