Cant get bookmarks to show on the left of the page.

My FIrefox was freezing. I did a refresh. My bookmarks, which I had on the left of the page, are now at the top. The icon that I could click to make the bookmarks on the left, which used to be at the top of the page, is gone. How do I get my bookmarks on the left of the page?

I think you mean the Bookmarks Sidebar. <Control> B
