Can't remove "what's new" from line above bookmarks toolbar. Greyed out.
V71.0, Mac10.12.6 Above the bookmarks toolbar, on the same line as the URL, at the end, after "Firefox Account," there is "What's New" with remove greyed out. How do I remove this and why would it be the only one on the line I can't remove?

Hi ChrisG, recently there is a notification icon that appears occasionally; it looks like a gift box. Usually after you click it once to show its drop-down, it goes away. Does yours linger?

Grr, arg! I just wrote a wonderful paragraph, then clicked on 'choose solution,' which made all my words disappear!!! Humph!
Basically, first two clicks opened a new tab and sent me to a page which was not listed under History so was a local page? Third click after your helpful post produced the dropdown which disappeared with the icon when I clicked elsewhere. [but, If I wanted one of those options, it's gone now, as the list of items is gone too. I don't want any of them, so no problem for me.]
Thank you jscher2000.
Note that this What's New item also can be found in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list.
