I cannot send from an Office365 account but can get mail - it simply says 'sending' but nothing happens.

I am using Owl (paid subscription) for my Office365 account.

I also have another email that is a simple IMAP account and that works beautifully!

Moved files to a new windows 11 machine and everything is lost, even tho everything is really still there.

Thunderbird was running on a laptop that has become suspect. Copied the files to a desktop machine. Tried to access these file from the app on the laptop. Only new message are available. All old inbox, sent, other folders, trash, etc. are missing. Tried to go back to the laptop files, but the results are the same.

Running Windows 11 on both machines.

Is there any way to get my data back?

Hello, when i put a message in the garbage can, thundirbird open immediately a new message. sometimes i think that the new message is the old one and i put it in the can without reading it... So, i would like that thundirbird does not open a new message when i put one in the garbage can, i want it open a message only if i clic on it manually, not automatically. Is it possible in the settings ( i have not found)

I'm new to thunderbird and i'd like to customize the layouts. I increased the width of the spacesbar by messing with the userChrome.css. however now it is overlapping on the other panels... I managed to fix it on the mail panel, but not the others. (see attached) can you help me find the proper CSS property?

Trying to start using new laptop HP Omnibook 7 14". All going well, but small differences are a problem. I think I had it all yesterday, but today when I read emails and put them in "trash" I could not find the empty trash icon, not in the trash icon nor in the menu above.

bold text Hi, I have Yahoo mail and Thunderbird. I want to use TB as my main mail but still keep my Yahoo account as the data is stored by yahoo and I suspect I will loose my history if I cancel..

I leave my email and a couple of other tabs open when I shut down. I cannot make TB appear as a tab, it always opens full page.

Any ideas?

Von der Erstinstallation war ich gewohnt, dass von oben nach unten die Darstellung der Ordner wie folgt war: Posteingang / Entwurf / Gesendet / Archiv / Spam / Papierkorb / Local Folders /Postausgang / Unbekannt Nach der neuen Installation, die erforderlich war (Rechnerneuinstallation) ergab sich folgendes Bild von oben... Lokale Ordner / Papierkorb / Local Folders und dann alle meine selbst erstellten Ordner am Ende dieser Aufstellung kam die Zeile mit meiner web-Adresse xxxx.xx@web.de dann Posteingang usw. siehe oben aufgeführt Damit liegt der Posteingang am Ende meiner Ordner Auflistung und das ist über den unteren Monitorausschnitt hinaus, diese Situation ist für mich untragbar und deshalb werde ich wohl auf ein anderes e-mail Verwaltungsmedium umsteigen müssen. Eine Kopiermöglichkeit um die Ersteinstellung zu erreichen war kläglich gescheitert und jetzt ist das Durcheinander noch größer beste Grüße B. Bein

I have downloaded Thunderbird from official Mozilla homepage. It seems to be installed correct. I got the icon and a question : should we start Thunderbird now. I answer yes. Then I get the message : Thunderbird is not found ? but I have just loaded it ? I am running windows 11 and I have got newest upgrade.

PS I also have a PC running Linux Mint. Loading Thunderbird here was no problem.

As of today, I am unable to link to, or log onto, my email server - gmx.com..... Have never had a problem until today.

Today, when I opened up Thunderbird, ALL my email accounts came back with an error message stating that the login to the server failed (see attachment). I don't know what happened.

I checked all of my settings, and they are all correct (according to GMX), I tried to re-enter my passwords, and even re-booted my computer in the off chance that there may have been a booting issue. Nothing helped.

Can someone tell me what's going on? Why is Thunderbird all of a sudden not linking with the email servers? How do we fix this when all of the protocols are correct - and have been all along? Any thoughts, suggestions, or advice?

Running Thunderbird 140.6.0esr in Windows 11. This afternoon I found that one of my three accounts no longer shows up in the folder pane, though it still appears normally in the account settings tab. I can still send mail from it, but can't receive any. The other two accounts appear in the folder pane as usual and can send and receive normally.

Any help getting the account back into the folder pane would be appreciated. -- tralfaz

I have used Thunderbird for many years and and have loved it. However, recently my "Local Folders Inbox" have been extremely slow (deleting emails, reviewing an email, etc.). I have tried every suggestion that I have found without any change: reducing emails in the folder (down to about 75 remaining), compacting and repairing the folder, deleting and rebuilding all of the msf files and global database, disabling all addons, empty trash and junk, clear the cache, disable hardware acceleration, exclusion in antivirus, etc. It has become very frustrating. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why aren't copies of some messages saved in "sent"?

On more than one occasion I get the following message after sending an email. I'm told that a copy of my outgoing email has not been saved in the sent box:

"access errors. You can retry or save the message locally to Local Folders/Sent-aidan@clockwork1.plus.com."

Is there any way that I can overcome this issue and have a copy saved automatically, please?

All Mail folder in my Thunderbird appdata ImapMail folder still holds all deleted messages

I am using Protonmail with Thunderbird. In my Protonmail web account there is nothing in ANY folder but the very few I am currently keeping, including All Mail. The same folders and messages are represented in Thunderbird folders. However, in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\wiu0xbpg.default-release\ImapMail\127.0.0.1, the All Mail folder contains all previous messages, including deleted messages, are still present. When I delete a message, I want it deleted. As can be seen in the attached image, All Mail is very large whereas all other folders are very small. 1. How can this be cleaned up? 2. How can this be prevented in the future? Thanks for any direction in this matter.
