In Settings → Privacy & Security → History → Settings..., I have enabled the automatic clearing of "Site settings" when Firefox closes. However, the clearing of all site settings causes the clearing of all my HTTPS certificate error exceptions (Settings → Privacy & Security → Certificates → View Certificates... → Servers). Is there a way to make some exceptions for the clearing of site settings? I would like the site settings of a few websites to be preserved, while deleting the site settings of all other sites.

I want to clear data but the only option FF is offering is with cookies. I want to delete all but cookies.

Here it only says Cookies AND Site Data. But I want Site Data without Cookies. Can I somehow manually delete those files? Or manually selectively empty some tables in SQLite databases that FF uses? If yes then what files/databases exactly?

scroll bars cover website-widgets (check boxes) (110.0.1 64-Bit)!! e.g., when trying to activate a checkbox at the right edge (Amazon, marking an item to cancel an order) that is not possible because the firefox scrollbar (right side) covers the Amazon checkbox, so it is impossible to mark it, and so the order cannot be cancelled!

This is an unacceptable malfunction!!

(OTOH, on MSEdge, the scrollbar sits to the right of the checkboxes without ever covering them, so it's obvious that this is specific Firefox malfunction!!!)

Prior to recent updates, Firefox tabs that were opened from a link on a webpage would always open right next to the current tab. Which was fine and wonderful. Sadly, following recent version updates new tabs opened from links now tend to 'wonder' off to the far end of whatever other links may have also been opened previously from that site. The problem with this new behaviour is that such tabs quickly become lost amongst the various branches of the tree as other links are opened in 'child' tabs of links that have gone before. In short, this new behaviour results in a complete confusing mess, especially as the newly opened tabs may end up so far off to the right that it's difficult to find the way back to the page they were opened from! Please could you at least provide an option so the user can set new links to open right next to the current tab, as they used to do, rather than some no doubt logical but nonetheless baffling and impractical location some 6, 21 or even more tabs away from the current tab. I have an mid 2007 IMac running El Capitan 10.11.6 I replaced my old Firefox version with a newer incompatible one and now I can’t recover the old version of Firefox. All my bookmarks and saved data was on that older version. Can anyone help me find the most current version of Firefox for my Mac? Thanks!

I have made a few attempts in the past hour to change my email address BUT there is no option to do so ("edit" or change") on the change page. How do I go about making the change; I currently use [edited] 5@gmail.com. I want to change my email to: [edited] @proton.me. Thank you! Ross Gudgel

Firefox quit working. when I click on the Icon on my computer desktop I get the following pop-up window. Windows cannot find ‘C:\Program Files\Mozilla FirefoxFirefox.exe’

When I click on the Icon in my taskbar I get this pop-up window . Windows cannot find ‘C:\Users\hgmv8\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\Taskbar\Firefox.Ink’ Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

When I click on the Window tab in the Firefox menu, my website prayingwithmylegs[dot]com is only listed as "Mozilla Firefox" unlike all the other windows. This does not happen in Chrome, Safari or Opera.

Also, how do I get the Sidebar to not automatically open when I open my saved windows in Firefox? It wasn't doing that before.

I go to many websites whose languages I don't know. When I used to use chrome, I could just right-click to translate it to English.

Unfortunately, I cannot seem to find anything comparable here. Is there any add-ons or anything that I can get for it?

Also, I wanted to create an issue in so that firefox natively supports this. This is the only thing that has kept me from removing Chrome altogether.

Firefox stopped working on my laptop after I uninstalled office365. I have reinstalled office, but firefox still not working. It is working on my phone and an old laptop. What are my options? Nothing happens wen I click on the 3 bars, history, settings, etc. Need help, thanks.

I have a 2nd laptop that I need to sync for my passwords and bookmarks, everytime I try to sync it says incorrect password, when I know it's correct. then locks me out after a few attempts but it works fine on the main laptop! Please, I need help! thank you

I use Firefox on my Asus laptop running Windows 10. It's one of these laptops with both integrated and dedicated graphics (Intel plus Nvidia).

I often experience this issue when putting a video in full-screen (especially when viewing trailers on Steam, but this may just be because I mainly use my Windows laptop for gaming, and thus most of my video consumption here is from steam). This screen will briefly (for less than one second) turn black and audio will pause before the video appears in full-screen, and playback resumes normally.

It "feels" like a GPU switch is taking place, I'd assume from the integrated graphics to the GeForce card. This is not the proble. The issue appears when I return from full-screen mode. I always have several Command Prompts open with SSH connections to my Linux server and sometimes my MacBook Pro. These windows are now empty. That is, all text is gone, and I can no longer interact with the sessions. They're not "broken," as in they're not saying "Not responding" and don't ask to be forcefully closed, they're just black windows with borders around them. All I can do is close them all down and open new ones to reconnect and start over from where I think I remember I was.

I should note that this doesn't ONLY happen with Firefox videos going into full-screen, it has also happened after launching a game and returning to the desktop. This strengthens my belief that this has to do with GPU switching and/or video "mode" change(s).

Assuming I'm correct (my IQ is 5,000 and I do do the very big brians), is there any way to control how videos go into full-screen in Firefox? Or "lock it" to a specific GPU? I've rummaged through about:config and haven't seen anything that seems directly relevant.

I've already tried using the Windows settings to tell the system that Firefox.exe should use the integrated Intel graphics only, but this has no effect.

I remember I used to use "Media Player Classic" many years ago, and it had a slew of options of how to render full-screen video. IIRC, it had stuff like "Overlay," "Windowed," "Windowed borderless," "DirectX," etc. This make me wonder if there's multiple ways of chosing how to render video in full-screen, then maybe one could direct Firefox to use a different one than the default and my problem might disappear? Or maybe one could tell Windows that if an app wants to go into full-screen video mode, Windows should pick a specific mode for it?

I'm not a Windows developer, so I don't know :) But I'm hoping someone has a good tip, because I'm finding myself using this system more and more, and this is my biggest problem with it currently.

Just now I recreated my firefox login password and re-logged into the firefox account. After synchronization, I did not find my bookmarks and saved logins. Could you please help me troubleshoot the problem? Recenltly bought new laptop and installed a new version of firefox, but now I cannot get it to show my extensions.

The screen shot shows what (IMO) is supposed to to be, but all I get is the default buttons for firefox 2nd picture
