Change pop 3 to IMAP
My email provider has transferred their services to a messaging service and I need to change accounts in Thunderbird from Pop 3 to IMAP. All the solutions I have found so far aren't working for me. Is it possible? This is starting to get pretty urgent as I have to change to the messaging service within the three days.

So thank you for your all your help but my husband just came home and sorted it out

Which step do you have problem? I think as long as you give the right imap link instead of pop3 link, your thunderbird will work automatically. Have changed your account?

Thank you for your quick response. My problem is that the instructions that are on the link that you gave me don't work for me. I don't have Open the File > New > Existing account menu On my of Thunder
Just select the "Email account". You can add your imap account as a new account. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/manual-account-configuration.
Alternatively, in the "Edit" menu, you can edit an existing account.
