I want to know how I put a shortcut on my desktop with Mozilla Firefox. With google chrome, you click on the square menu on right hand top of page, click on tools, then hit create shortcut.

With internet explorer, you can just right click on the page and select the option of creating a shortcut.

How do you create shortcuts with Mozilla Firefox? That is all I'm trying to find out!

Thank you, Cheryl Kelley aka 56cheryl

On my system (Linux) this works unpredictably, sometimes the desktop shortcut is created successfully, some other times instead it creates a weird text file on the desktop,as it happens with this very same site:if I drag the favicon on the desktop,it triggers a process similar to a file copy operation and the final result is this weird text file that looks like a summary of the page source.

Is this a known bug,and are there any possible workarounds, even using an extension?
