Why won't Silverlight 4/Netflix work on my Mac?

hello

im having trouble with microsoft silverlight running on my mac os x. i have 3 browsers; safari, chrome, and firefox, but only use the one that runs the quickest which is firefox. ive tried to install silverlight 4 several times but everytime i go into netflix it tells me that i need to update the version. the interesting thing is that netflix runs on safari and chrome no problem but i dont want to use these browsers on account of how slow they run on my mac. please help if you can.
