Only downloading when cursor is moving

I recently updated to the new version of Forefox (4.0.1) and found that it is considerably slower than the previous version I was running. In particular when ever I go to a website either by typing in an address or clicking a link from another site I have to continually move the cursor to get the site to load. This has never been an issue before. Any remedies?
