Not sure what happened, it was working fine last week. Turned on the system today and it just crashes, window pops open for a second and closes. I read up on this error but it seems to indicate it's trying to access something outside of it's permission range: :~$ mozillavpn Segmentation fault (core dumped) So I ran it elevated (sudo), just to test, it works but it's not supposed to run this way. I uninstalled, reinstalled, same results. I uninstalled, renamed the ./mozilla/firefox folder to wipe settings, reinstalled same effect.

Try signing out of the application, uninstalling it, re-downloading it, and reinstalling it. The sign out is an important part of the process due to deleting some files that otherwise don't get purged. This usually resolves crashing issues. Let me know if that helps.
Try doing this to fully reset it if it crashes or won't open properly, this usually resolves the issue: 1.) Before doing the following, double check the task manager (you can search for this or press control+alt+delete to bring it up) to ensure that the VPN is not currently open. If it is open, right click the process in the task manager and select "End task" 2.) Uninstall Mozilla VPN from your device. 3.) Now, open the Windows "File Explorer". Click on the "View" tab at the top of the window.
Mozilla VPN keeps crashing when I try to open it. I am running it on a Windows 10 20.04 machine, and I have already tried reinstalling the app. I really need access to the VPN because I'm on public wifi, and would prefer my work to be encrypted. Please help! To explain how it is crashing, I will click the app to open it, and it will show in the icon tray for a second and then disappear.
I can't launch the VPN on Windows 10. It always crashes before it's fully launched. It was working well just a few days ago. I can't figure out what's causing it.
When launching the mozillavpn desktop client, it immediately crashes. Using the command line only yields an error message saying there was a segfault. I've purged and reinstalled the app, and I've updated my system, but the error persists. This seems to affect the UI only, because I'm able to manage the client using the CLI. I'm running pop_os 20.04.
Just installed the vpn client on my desktop (Win 8.1x64). When I try clicking the "Get Started" button, (with firefox already running), the vpn client crashes: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: CLR20r3 Problem Signature 01: MozillaVPN.exe Problem Signature 02: 22.214.171.124 Problem Signature 03: fbb6208a Problem Signature 04: System Problem Signature 05: 4.8.4210.0 Problem Signature 06: 5efa66c9 Problem Signature 07: 8c1 Problem Signature 08: 61 Problem Signature 09: System.Net.HttpListenerException OS Version: 6.3.9600.2.0.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 9101 Additional Information 2: 9101154b351cabbc9742f3a9475b2daa Additional Information 3: 2b7e Additional Information 4: 2b7ee8ed2beaf1199f1530d0fe8e4d3b (Actually, I found that running the program as an administrator resolves the issue.
Hi, For the last month+, the VPN app has immediately crashed when I start it. The icon shows up in the tray but when I hover over it, it disappears. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling with a fresh download several times with no luck. Windows 10, 64 bit Two errors from Event Viewer: 1. I'm unable to use mozilla VPN as it closed up / crashes a couple seconds after trying to open it. I do not reach the app startup interface, so I am not able to use the debugging tool or support from there. I reinstalled the application after uninstalling it with the windows uninstall tool. Still not working. How may I receive assistance so I can use the product again?
I have been using Mozilla VPN for a few months. Last week, I upgraded to a new motherboard, CPU and RAM but did not re-install Windows. Now when I try to start the VPN program up, I can see the icon pop into the startbar but then quickly disappears indicating that it closed down on its own. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the behavior persists. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot other than starting with a fresh install of Windows. I'm not sure where logs would be located.
