How do I control what applications are in my options category in the preferences menu?

I've been trying for some time to determine why my main Firefox profile, the profile I use most of the time, has a lot of trouble when I use Google Street View. The Street View screen essentially freezes when I try and use it. But, taking a tip from Firefox help I opened up a new profile in a new browser. When doing so, the existing Google Street View problem disappeared completely in the new browser. I call my new profile in the new browser my second Firefox browser to use. My question is, can

opening new browser in new profile

I've been trying for some time to determine why my main Firefox profile, the profile I use most of the time, has a lot of trouble when I use Google Street View. The Street View screen essentially freezes when I try and use it. But, taking a tip from Firefox help I opened up a new profile in a new browser. preference's

I have noticed in my options section that I can specifically pick what I want. But, looking at it from a computer performance point of view (computer speed) which settings are best? In the browsing category what should I select? There are more than a few options there. Which ones do I need for good computer performance? And which ones should be not used? In the applications category what selections should I pick? There are currently many-many selections there. Are all of them needed or required

bookmarks

I created a second profile. But, the bookmarks in the bookmark locations have no designated colored icon associated with them, like my bookmarks in my default bookmarks do. How do I get the bookmarks in my secondary profile to show those "colored" icons so I can quickly differentiate them apart? Thank you.

Bookmarks

I am using a second profile at times. But, I noticed when I do and I view my bookmarks, the icon to the left of a given bookmark doesn't have any color or specific icon designation like it does with my original profile. Seeing a specific color and designation with the specific bookmark makes it easier to quickly spot, which I suspect was the reason in the first place for Firefox to do so? How can I get the bookmarks in my second profile to have those colored icons that my original bookmarks do?

Firefox refresh

I was asked to refresh my Firefox, because it started slowly. Frankly, I'm very hesitant to do so. Last time I did that, which was some time ago, I had many problems and it took some time to repair those problems that it created. What does Firefox help suggest I do? Is there still going to be problems once I do a refresh of my computer browser? Thank you.

Google street view not working properly

I've noticed for about 2 weeks now, my google street view is not working like it used to. It some times will not respond and when it does respond it is very slow. I didn't used to have this problem, so maybe a new Firefox update or some other issue is causing then problem? How can I view my browser settings to see if some thing there is causing the problem? Hopefully, someone can help and cure the problem. Thanks,

stopping a specific pop up ad

I keep getting a very annoying pop up ad from Bing Wallflower while on my home page. How do I get rid of that annoying pop up ad? Thank you.

email problems

My Yahoo email for the most part is fine. But, I am having a lot of difficulty when I type replies to emails I have. When I have to correct something in my text, I keep getting the blue lines that cover the existing text and want to cancel some of the text I have already done. As soon as I move the cursor to another part of the text, the blue line covering will cancel everything there after and I don't want that to happen. Not sure why this is occurring. I didn't have this peculiar problem befor

screen shots

I have many screen shots on my computer. But, when I view a screen shot, how do I access the web site I got the screen shot from? Is there a way to do that. Looking at the picture in itself, I can't tell how I got it and I want to know where it came from. Can anyone help? Thank you.
