Linux portable FF

Hi, Apart from some references I had found going back up to 10 years, I cant find anything about making Firefox run completely from a usb stick.. I have used an appimage to install it on a usb, BUT it still creates a folder with the profile in the Home directory on the PC hard drive.. Can you please give me some idea of how I can move the folder location from the hard drive and have everything pointed to the usb.. I have used the profile manager to create a new profile based on the USB, and then deleted the Mozilla folder on the PC hard drive, but that breaks FF.

Firefox will not open

Having a problem getting Firefox to open. When you try to click on it it looks like it wants to open, but the homepage is blank. When I try to log in the page stays blank. I can see the menu bar but none of the choices will open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, each time removing any and all Firefox folders. Still will not open. Followed the steps for a clean install, no change. The last time I was downloading Firefox I received my first error message: c:\windows\system32\msvcp140.dll error message I get no other error messages, the home page stays blank.

Firefox 82 Crashes on Startup in Windows 10

It also seems like I can't access my saved logins/passwords in this older Firefox version because it's using a different profile. I'm trying to avoid updating Firefox on my other Windows 10 computer in case it fails in the same way.

I can't open Firefox

I can't open Firefox anymore - this happened suddenly a few weeks ago after my computer "crashed" in the middle of an update for a different program. I've used Firefox for several years but have to use Google Chrome now - which my husband uses . This means I can't make Firefox my default. I also don't know what version I have - the program is still listed on the hard drive but it wont open. I'm afraid to just re -download Firefox for fear of losing all my previously saved bookmarks etc. If that wouldn't happen I would try that - I really miss my Firefox!

Firefox crashes before opening

A few days ago my Firefox browser started crashing before it even opens. I'm not very tech-oriented. Can I just delete Firefox then re-download it? I have an older Mac that is running low on storage, so this may have been a contributing factor. I have deleted some stuff and have some storage but Firefox still crashing. I get only a box that says Firefox crashed and do I want to send a report. So I send the report and get no response. I am using Safari for today - but this is not my choice - Safari doesn't load links like it should.

constant crash on startup

Have used FF for years. Best and fastest browser on my Mac. Now it suddenly started crashing on every start. I can't even navigate anything within the app. It is unresponsive from the start. Always have to force quit. I deleted the app and system files (Library - App Support - FF folder). Restarted computer and did a fresh install. Same thing. Mac Big Sur v11.4 FF v90.0 thanks so much Ken

Thunderbird October 20 update required by Yahoo - Authentication not supported???

i'm worried that after more than 20 years I won't be able to use Thunderbird any longer. If you don't have app password options in your account settings, it may be because your browser, Firefox 52, is no longer supported by Yahoo mail. Windows 7 is probably the minimum requirement for any current browser or email program. A computer that originally came with Vista can probably run Win7 or W10 (I have an XP desktop that runs W10), or one of the light Linux versions.
