The latest Thunderbird works fine - until I open the Preferences tab, when it hangs, hogs a processor core, and allocates all available memory until crashing. Other tabs (calendar, add-ons, messages, release notes) all work OK.

Thunderbird (latest edition, running on Mac os 10.15.6) keeps crashing every time I send an email. Thunderbird also is convinced that my email password is incorrect and is most certainly is not. After entering the same password many times, my new email show up in my inbox but the program continues to think I have an incorrect password. The biggest pain is that I have to force quit the program every time I send an email because it becomes non responsive. any help would be appreciative. I really like Thunderbird and i have taken time to input all my messages filters for my folders.
Thunderbird crashing when I delete messages @ mozilla::binding_danger::TErrorResult<T>::ClearUnionData Caused by Bitdefender?
Since last year my Thunderbird has been crashing once or twice a day. When I delete emails, it crashes, I send reports and nothing has changed. My version of Thunderbird is current. I have disbled all my Add ons now, and it still crashes. It is getting very frustrating as nothing has helped. I dont know if anyone is taking any notice of my crash reports. Have been thinking of getting another email client as this is very, very annoying since it has been going on for so long. Any suggestions ?? Supplied an image of listings o f crash reports .

Thunderbird is crashing, every time, when i BCC an email list [alias]. I am on a Macbook Pro 2013, Catalina 10.15.7, all apps/OS updated. I have made an email list in Mac's Contacts app. I did it often, and it worked fine, up until a couple of weeks ago, around 20 september. Suddenly, adding that alias to the BCC field crashed Tbird without any warning, reproducibly. Can't find any others with apparently this same issue, so obviously i have done something stupid. Please tell me what. I have restarted the computer.
Thunderbird constantly crashes [@ OOM | large | NS_ABORT_OOM | nsTSubstring<T>::Append | GatherLine ] for imap account
Since the last update, Thunderbird has had major problems. It seemed to lose all my folders and accounts, eventually it found them (but completely lost several folders), and all the filters seemm to be screwed up. Now, it has taken to crashing within seconds of starting the program. Any ideas? This has only been since the recent update to 102.0b4 (32 bit). Most recent crash reports in attached image - I can't keep the program running long enough to do anything else. Any help appreciated.
It worked perfectly, began downloading my email.... and then an error message pops up saying "can't connect," and I can't get my email. According to Protonmail, the solution is to remove the account and all cached data and then add the account again. I've done this three times, but the same error message keeps coming up and this last time Thunderbird crashed after I had spent hours cleaning up my email - and when I added the account again, all the old email was still there, since it hadn't had a change to clear it from Protonmail! So - any ideas? Is this a Thunderbird problem? Any idea how to fix it?
my Thunderbird crashed - cannot open, was ok this morning. [@ mozilla::dom::ServiceWorkerRegistrar::GetShutdownPhase ]
It gives me a box saying Thunderbird crashed and I can send report. I did - but I have restarted computer 2x and still nothing. When I opened details, this is what was there. I of course do not understand any of this.

Thunderbird keeps crashing several times a day. Restarted Thunderbird in save mode, but it still keeps crashing. Can provide Troubleshooting details if I could find a safe email account. Need it badly as I manage several email accounts. Looking forward to response as soon as possible. Kind regards. - Einar
