at present it is 32bit Llnux Firefox ChaletOS. It appears it wants 64bit Linux but every time it only allows me access to 32bit version which tells me is out of date. What is happening?

Ok so a month ago FF updated on four W11 laptops and now every time since then when you open FF it wants to make changes to your HDD and then tells you it can't download the latest version. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it and its the same across all devices. None of the three devices are running any of the same software aside from the OS as they're all dedicated to different purposes, so I know its not something on the devices themselves. We ended up uninstalling it on everything aside from the older W10 desktop because its a constant nuisance. Each time it updates it is successful and there's no failure messages, so it's not like its obviously failing to update, but something certainly broke.

I am fed up having to update firefox every single day !! Is it not completing the update or is there some glitch that keeps occurring ??

I have used FF for quite a while and ignored MicroSoft Edge... but I dont know how much longer I can carry on with this slowdown !!

Want to roll back my latest update. all my saved items on home page,bookmark and history tiles vanished. Firefox shouldnot give two rips what browser I am using be it: Windows 10 11, 13, 7 ,or ME

Every time I log on to Firefox, or attempt to use the brozser, I am asked to update Firefox. So I proceed to do the update download; The software refuses to do anything. So I continue with the old release. Apparently, this is a common problem. Yet Firefox staff continues to ignore the situation.

HOW DOES ONE UPDATE THE FIREFOX SOFTWARE?????

today i open firefox ask me to reastart for a update i did it ask me to do instal a helper i did then i open it then agian on a loop i task me to intall a helper i did like 50 times hwo cna i jsut do the update and get otu fo the loop of intaling helpers for firefox

When I see a message to update, I always do it immediately. A few weeks ago during an update the browser disappeared and wouldn't launch. I had no option but to uninstall with Revo Uninstaller Pro.

When I installed again, I signed in and immediately selected sync and all my bookmarks were recovered but also Chrome bookmarks which I want to keep separately. No complaint, I just deleted all those Chrome bookmarks.

Had to install all my Browser extensions. I have whitelisted a few websites to save cookies from those special websites like online Banking and got an auto popup message "You are using an untrusted browser"

I had to use my phone to get a code from the Bank to continue. I use Biometrics to log into my Bank accounts and also many other websites I have installed on my phone.

Then I got another message and email from the Banks verifying I have a Trusted Browser.

Firefox is my default browser on my phone and my Laptop and always will be. Thanks for allowing me to write this message. I want to confirm this is not a complaint.

I have the latest version of Firefox. I still keep getting the prompts to download the latest version. When I go to system info, it shows I have the latest version it is asking me to download. When I do a manual search for the latest version, it always says it failed to search for the latest download.

I have deployment firefox 148.0.2 version from SCCM, its on autoupdate. So, when it is pushing to machine and during launch its giving prompt " You have launched olderversion of firefox ". even though i have cleared old version or any other version and then pushed still giving same prompt. We need to remove this prompt from appearing to users. kindly suggest how to fix

The Firefox update I was prompted to initiate on May 12 resulted in a compatibility issue message. Following Firebox Help recommendations, I re-installed my Firefox. Now I see that my downloads folder has a long string of unfamiliar files, and I need assurance that these are not remnants of malicious activity. All files have names like i-33639-002-XX.jpg and are dated the same time (5/12/2026, 4:07 PM). Each file shows as “0 KB” in size. All are listed as “JPG File”. Has this happened to other Firefox users?

I'm trying to open a file that was sent to me, but my computer is asking me to update Firefox. When I try to do that, it shows that I already have the most current update.

I'm too old and tired to try to find my way around the new update. How can I return to the previous version? Life was so simple. Now I spend more time trying to find things that I can't find than I do online doing something productive.

Please tell me there's a simple way to get back to the previous version and that I won't lose my bookmarks and links.
