So I moved from my old Galaxy S21 Ultra into a new Xiaomi 17 ultra.

Installed Firefox and logged in with the qr code thing on my main computer.

Firefox on the phone says it's synced but the list of passwords is empty. Not a single password in the list. Lots of passwords on the main computer.

This worked just fine on the old S21 Ultra.

Any ideas?

This is a completely fresh install on a new phone so not to be ungrateful, the typical good advice about clearing cache and reinstalling is just not relevant here.

Solved, there is delay of 15 minutes before password appear on other device.

I've labelled this thread as (dec 2025) as there is a lot of issues dating back to years ago so this is mark it down just as a fresh review of the issue.

The only thing I'm looking from a browser is to sync Passwords between Phone and Desktop and for whatever reason Firefox is not doing it. Absolutley nothing gets synced even though both windows 10 and Android browsers have been sync manually with all of the options to be synced.

I've followed all the others people checks of settings, account login etc. and I'm just giving up for now.

New computer. Cannot import bookmarks or passwords. cannot save bookmarks or passwords. Will be forced against my will to use Microsoft. Sync won't easily connect old computer to new. Only computer to phone. Help ! old win 10 new win 11

After the latest Firefox update (ref 025f29), my bookmarks and saved passwords are not syncing. Tried signing out and back in.

When I frequently turn off my computer using the system unit's power button, meaning a quick shutdown, after several such shutdowns, when I launch the browser, I'm prompted to log in again. Bookmarks that weren't synced disappear. And I'm also logged out of all the websites I was logged into, forcing me to log in again. Cachyos Linux.

I recently reinstalled Windows on my computer and expected Firefox to sync and restore my saved passwords, as I had enabled Firefox Sync before reinstalling. However, after syncing my account, my passwords did not appear, and I am unable to access them.

I have already tried the following steps:

   Checked the sync status of my Firefox account.
   Ensured that I am signed into the correct Firefox account on my browser.
   Searched for any relevant troubleshooting steps but haven't been able to resolve the issue.

Could you please assist me in restoring my saved passwords or provide any guidance on how I can retrieve them?

I have a 2024 Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro using Android. I am constantly being reminded on my tablet to 'Unlock Firefox' so I may use the saved paswords as per my Windown 11 PC. I have the correct pasword for Firefox on my PC but try as I may this does not work on my tablet! Can you assist please? Thanks. Simon.

I wish to switch to a new primary laptop. I normally use multiple machines in the course of a day. I have probably hundreds of open tabs on my main computer and even though I checked "Open Tabs" for sync, they never show on my other devices.

Following previous help recommendations I searched for the json sessions file...it doesn't exist anywhere on my system. The only other "help" was to "tap" tabs in the lower right corner. There is nothing in the lower right corner unless, perhaps on a phone, which isn't the device in question.

I was using Firerox Beta on Android and yesterday or for the last couple days my Firerox account would keep getting logged out as in I'd have to sign in again and again to sync or send tabs to other devices. (It would repeatedly say sign in again to sync even after I sign in repeatedly).

I uninstalled Firefox Beta and installed Firefox stable on Android. No such issue so far.

Firefox won't sync anything since a while back, maybe since two months back, I am unable to force sync. Clearing cashe, uninstalling the app, relogging both phone and pc, neither of these syncs bookmarks across the devices. I am able to send tabs in-between the devices. Biggest issue is I can't save bookmarks on one device and expect them to be available on my other device Nokia 7.2

I am using the same account (my school email), and everything else sync successfully.

Tab groups saved on my Windows PC didn't show up on my Macbook; tab groups saved on my Macbook didn't show up on my Win PC. Is this a feature or bug?

I recently switched to Linux and have been having trouble getting my bookmarks from my android device to sync to my desktop (Linux Mint). I have bookmarks enabled on the sync menu on both platforms, but I can't get them to sync over to my desktop from mobile at all; my only current option would be to painstakingly open them one-by-one from my desktop sync with the open tabs viewer (as I can't open all open tabs at once on Linux Firefox for some reason).

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just to tell me that this feature doesn't work on Linux.
