Every time I send an email I get a popup little window telling me its being sent and a copy has been copied to my Sent folder. After seeing this about 500 times I probably don't need to be notified of this anymore. Is there any way of disabling this wonderful and informative little feature?

I am trying to permanently add the Size column to the search messages pop-up window when I try to search my emails.

In older Thunderbird versions, you had the capability to add the 'Size' column to the 'Search Messages' window when search emails. That is proving difficult to do in v52.7.

I am having a long email exchange with someone at the moment and today they asked if I could stop indenting the previous emails with chevrons everytime I reply, because after a few exchanges, it destroys the legibility of the emails.

Can I turn off indents and chevrons and just have the prior email text appear below the To:, From:, CC:, Subject: list?

I'm happy to hack some config files. I didn't see a menu option.

Previously, when I wanted to send a photo or document, if I right click on that document i get an option to "send to mail recipient". That option would open Thunderbird, and a fresh compose e-mail. Now, it opens Thunderbird, but not the compose e-mail. What happened. I have just downloaded 52.0.1 I am not sure what version I was on before.

I can only find very old threads and no solutions to this question. I want to add more than 2 email addresses for some contacts. I don't want to create extra card(s) for the same contact since I sync my contacts across other platforms (ie phone) and it gets messy. My phone can, of course, happily accept any number of email addresses for a single contact. Thanks

After the latest update, I no longer get a scroll bar appearing (on the right-hand side) of the message pane. How do I get it back? And yes, I have many, many more messages in my inbox than there is room to display in a single pane. Thanks,

I use the latest Thunderbird email program. I send a lot of emails to text addresses. So I do not use a subject line. Each time I send a message it comes up with a warning "send message without subject?" Is there a way to override this and send without getting this message every single time? In other words get this pop up to not show up again? Something easy for someone who is not a computer guru? It would be nice like most popups, to have a do not show this message again button. Or did I miss this in settings somewhere??

The old ResetRec add-in has been removed in Thunderbird 60. I frequently send to large lists and then need to send as new to another set of recipients. Manually removing each recipient is time consuming. The old add-in hasn't been updated since 2011 so it is unlikely to be updated. How can I remove all recipients. Thank you, Len

The old notification was unobtrusive and listed multiple new emails, but the new one is big, bold yellow and only lists 1 email. Is there any way to customize the notification back to the way it was before T-bird 60.

I'm getting an increasing number of emails - mainly from businesses I deal with - that display a large image with the subject line of the mail when it appears in the message pane.

An example would be a music company I deal with has a picture of a guitar superimposed on the subject line.

This makes the message pane cluttered and I find it annoying.. Is there any way to prevent these displaying or better still prevent them from being downloaded?

I write an e-mail and enter the recipient.

The 'Send' button is pressed.

Then for some reason the e-mail is then sent to them twice.

I do have 2 e-mail addresses being controlled by Tbird but both e-mails seem to be comong from the same (main) address.

Any help appreciated

Can you advise me how to manipulate the positions. If this is not possible can you tell me how to request that this be added as a feature. This is strictly a time saving feature request as it would allow me to not have to repeatedly day after day and lots of times many times a day change from the PAB to my preferred Address Book. Thank you.

When I write or reply to an e-mail, the default spell check is always English. I always have to change it to the language I use for the used contact. Can the preferred language be saved for a recipient so that when I compose a message or reply to one, and the recipient exists in my contacts, it will automatically take the preferred language for this recipient?

I've been plagued from the beginning by the similarity of the terms 'Junk' and 'Trash,' so I figured I'd rename the Junk folder 'Spam.' Right-clicking on the folder suggests this is possible, but when I type in 'Spam,' the folder simply disappears from the list. So I restart Thunderbird and 'Junk' is back on the list. Is it possible to rename this folder, and what is the procedure? Many thanks!

The top bar on Thunderbird shows which email I'm working on. But the colors (black text on dark blue backgound) make it difficult to read. Is there anyway to change to colors so they're more readable?

Before the recent 1-2 updates, pdfs,pictures and .torrent meta files used to get saved in temp folder which I LOVED very much. Recently these are getting save in my download folder instead of saving in the temp folder.

I changed this setting to allows ask. Still the files are getting saved in the download folder after opening.

The number of emails per folder always was shown in thunderbird but with the last updates regularly is lost. In the past the columns shown with the folders could be chosen - how can this be done in the new version (v.24.6.0 under windows 8.1)?
