I'm thinking about using the LanguageTooler grammar checker that's listed among Thunderbird's add-ons but I've seen reports on Reddit saying that it's only FOC for a limited time, after which you need to stump up a monthly fee,

Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative?

Hello, I find many quality of life things missing from the addon page !

First as search-as-you-type filter, where only addon with matching words remain visible.

Then a way to change the sort order Currently the sort order isn't clear On the first order it is enabled addons then disabled addons and 2nd order .. well it's not last added, maybe it's last updated ?

Anyway, the 1st order and 2nd order ordering should be modifiable

last enabled last updated last installed last active most cpu/memory/gpu usage by name of author by date of creation by last currently installed update by last available installed update by version number by homepage url by run in private tab state by run on restricted side state by count of access url by permission X state by number of permission by stored data amount by rating by rating count

And search 1st,2nd,3rd,4th order should be configurable and search should be able to specify the above terms like rating:>3 and so on

Also I would like a way to be able to install my non AMO plugin permannently easily or easier

I have installed various extensions, and pinned same to toolbar. To activate these, I simply click the icon.

However, there are several addons I've installed which are not pinned to the toolbar. These I cannot seem to start.

How to proceed ?

Cannot reach extensions search from Firefox about:addons page. I keep getting the following when I search for any extension.

Firefox lately seems to create problems every time it is updated. I am really leaning towards making MSEdge my default browser because I am tired of these problems cropping up at each major update. I spent several hours this morning making sure my bookmarks and my saved logins and passwords were up to date with what I have in Firefox plus making sure my privacy and security were at it's tightest and strongest there. Major updates for Firefox use to go smoothly and seamlessly but that is now questionable.

I recently upgraded to 140.12.1. When I attempt to run the Remove Duplicate add on it hangs.

I suspect this is something to do with an additional menu item that now lists under Remove Duplicates Saying "Set original message folder(s) for next duplicate search". However when I select this, I get an error message from Remove Duplicates saying "Invalid choice of original message folders."

I have no idea where to set the folders, nor what to set them to..Can anyone help - it's an excellent add on which I use a lot.

Right clicking a pic on the web has a CONTEXT MENU entry of "Search Image on Tineye"

How do I remove this entry?

There are actually many context entries in Firefox I would like to remove. Is there a general way to do so?

I receive email messages from members in this forum in Chrome. It is very difficult to find the messages here when I logged in. If possible, can a reference number be provided with the message.

I never log out and if possible I prefer to stay logged in. The main topic seems to be about "Inbuilt adblockers" Some of the messages are a bit rude about the above. I don't appreciate those type of messages.

But I do agree if there could be an adblocker in Firefox in my Android phone, Browser extensions are uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger and CanvasBlocker. They don't block ads. uBlock Origin "Element Picker Mode" works perfectly on my PC but not all on my Android Phone. I appreciate very much how Firefox can be configured more than all the browsers combined, to provide extreme protection and privacy. In addition with MullvadVPN.

I received a message from Microsoft a few days ago and they have extended Windows 10 Security updates to 12 October 2027.

My problem started approximately (2) updates prior to my current Firefox update after 7-13-26... abouit a month of it now. I have great Malware and Security programs and never have been hacked. However now I have popups, redirects to new tabs advertising something, and Bing search engine came up replacing my StartPage search preference. I have since fixed my default search engine, but as noted below I am having no luck with ad popups and search redirects.

I have gone through Mozilla troubleshooting in Settings>Peremissions and Date>Notifications... and checked off all ad and popup blocking. I have checked entire PC with (2) separate Malware programs and found nothing. I use iObit Advanced System Care and it has caught many things, but it hasn't helped me here either.

I am still on Windows 10 operating system and have never had any problems at all Is there someting in a line item entry stored on my PC that I can look for that is taking over my browser settings? What else can be done to stop these insane ad and popup overlays?

I would like to see someone come up with a templated browser (or page) that's specific to Facebook which would include the now removed feature of the list of contacts they used to have on their feed page. At one time this list used to be included on the wall as well. I would use that list when viewing FB to show me not only who was currently online, but who was most likely viewing the content I posted. Sadly, to the frustration of many Facebook has changed this feature to a collapseable menu represented with an icon... and at the top of the list when brought up, is a link to the Meta AI (a feature I would also like to block) which I've found can and will chat with a user, although not in a manner I consider satisfactory.

Turned on laptop this morning after arriving at work -- Addon icons gone and Addons not functioning. Why was this fault in 152.0.5 not disclosed before committing to upgrading the the browsers I support for distance consultants ? Click the Manage Extensions icon and there are no "gears" to click to "Pin to toolbar". This is terrible. I have a half hour until those folks arrive at work in Lost Angeles. Wow. I want to revert to a previous version. Where do I get them ? I am a DBA and NOT support for unstable browsers. FF consistently causing me time and money but "befehl ist befehl" and it is the browser we are ordered to use. I believe management has conflated Free and Functional/useful when selecting our S/W tools.
