It's been a number of updates now that bookmark keywords have stopped working on iOS. Typing a keyword in the address bar just calls the default search engine for that word instead of opening the bookmark directly. When will this bug be fixed?

After the latest software upgrade my bookmarks stopped working when clicked upon. All of them now have something similar to a globe on the left of each bookmark. last night I re-loaded some of my bookmarks and the worked as long as I remained on Firefox. Returning this morning, they all have these globes on the left, and no longer work when clicked upon.

I successfully imported the book marks and see multiple bookmarks folders in library. At least one of them really has the bookmarks. But when I enable show bookmarks, they are nowhere to be seen

I can't figure out which topic to use for this but I can't submit it without one.

When I click on the star icon in the address bar the star icon is filled in, and existing bookmarks do show with the filled-in star icon and they work. But I no longer get a dropdown where I can assign a folder, edit, tag, or delete an existing bookmark, and the pages I've tried to bookmark don't show up in Recently Bookmarked so they haven't been added. I don't know if it has something to do with the toolbar?

Nothing I can find online helps. The places.sqlite file in my profile is not read-only, and I refreshed Firefox (stupidly, before I took a screenshot of the pinned shortcuts on my New Tabs page) and that made no difference. The only extension I use is UBlock Origin. Changing profiles did not help. This is on my personal laptop and no organization controls my settings.

I stay up to date on Windows 11 and Firefox updates. I do use a VPN but it never interfered with bookmarking functionality before. (I see Firefox offers a free one now but I've got a couple of years left on my paid subscription).

I asked the community but got no replies. (I did "reply" to add more information which no longer applies, and I can't seem to delete the "reply".)

When I bookmark a website and select edit, it does not show my created bookmarks to save too, nor can I move existing bookmarks to created folders, why not? I have to create a folder, then select all my existing important bookmarks and save them to the created folder. I can not later add any saved bookmarks to the created folder, why not? The Beta version has the same issue. Please make a change to allow for bookmark saving or moving to created folders. Thank you.

Unsure which 'topic' deletion applies to. All of a sudden I am unable to add or delete from my bookmarks and I think I may not be able to delete anything anywhere else either. Why has this occurred, suddenly, and how can I fix it without hiring an IT pro? I have been using Firefox as a browser for over twenty years and this has never happened before. I am using Windows 10 and Firefox 146.0.1. Thanks, James.

I have been with Mozilla since Netscape 1. Recently, I have been unable to add or delete a bookmark or folder. A number of previous bookmarks have lost their icons and their content. The Bookmark "Star" turns blue, indicating that it has been bookmarked. When I look for it in the designated folder it is not there. I try to edit garbled bookmark URLs by substituting the new URL - does not work. There are a number of folders for categories of bookmarks and I cannot delete them. What can be done?

First, I am technologically illiterate, so my terminology will be imperfect. Until today, there was a second line in my Google browser that listed my favorite sites I visited daily. It was just below the Google Tab line (the very top line). That line is now gone and now I have to look up the web addresses in my bookmark thing off to the right. How can I get that favorite sites line thingy back?

Traditionally when you bookmarked something you would get the choices oif where to save the bookmark. Now that option is gone.

Instead I have to Bookmark, then go back and edit Bookmark to the correct location.

Why did you change something that worked?

Although I have my Bookmarks Toolbar set to "Always Show," none of the bookmarks are visible (and therefore, they're not functional, either). I have tried refreshing Firefox (it just hangs on "almost done") and downloaded /reinstalled the application. I have no idea what to try next (Mac Desktop).

When will the Firefox developers fix the disappearing Bookmarks issue I reported approaching six years ago? I just had another occurrence today and it took quite a while to find the missing Bookmark. I do not remember IE 11 ever having this problem of recurring Favorites disappearing. I was told before that supposedly the reason is because I have a large Bookmarks file but as a researcher I need many Bookmarks. I guess the developers don't think disappearing Bookmarks is a problem that should be fixed!

So far, this year, the issue has occurred on: 1/6/2o26, 1/24/2026, 1/24/2026, 2/6/2026, 2/20?/2026, 4/10/2026, 5/17/2026, 5/21/2026, 6/16/2026, and today 7/6/2026.

Info about today's occurrence:

A Bookmarks folder titled Health which was located originally in: Bookmarks Menu | From Internet Explorer Was found located at: Bookmarks Menu | From Internet Explorer | Government | U.S. | Issues | !Misc (not in alphabetical order).

Please resolve without further delay.

My bookmarks menu is (empty) and I cannot save new bookmarks. Will not import under manage bookmarks tab. WHY is this suddenly happening on this computer when all my bookmarks and passwords are fine on my other computer?

When backing up bookmarks to HTML - HTML Back-Up does not include the TOOLBAR Bookmarks. Please advise how to include the toolbar bookmarks in HTML format. Thank you.

My bookmarks are not being saved anymore. When I try creating a new bookmark, it often simply doesn't work. If I try in troubleshoot mode, it sometimes does, and sometimes doesn't, I have no idea why. Creating new folders, or moving bookmarks, or deleting existing bookmarks is also blocked. In the backup files, I can see the last successful saving of my bookmarks is a month ago, though I'm using Firefox on a daily basis and I can also see that, previously, saves where every couple of days.

I found a recent json file named "bookmarks" in C:\Users\(me)\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\64cqek8b.default-release-1768329501903\weave\failed

The file content : {"ids":[]}

And nothing else.

There's also a squilte file named "bookmarks" in C:\Users\(me)\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\64cqek8b.default-release-1768329501903\weave

The file is dated of today and its size is 1,47 Mo. Which, I believe, shows the data actually exists... but fails to save into json format for some reason.

I hope all needed informations are there, but please ask me if something is missing.
