I am running Firefox 144.0 on kubuntu 24.04.3 LTS I have lost sound on Firefox. I have opened the same sites in Chrome and the sound is working fine. It's only in Firefox. I have tried several sites including Udemy, YouTube, and radio programs, no sound from Firefox. The problem started in the middle of a Jit.Si session. All of a sudden the sound disappeared. I thought that restart Firefox would help, then restart the computer would help. But the problem has continued. The speakers is turned on the volume is up, just not a sound from Firefox. What to do?

For the last two years the issues with video stutter have been worse and worse for me. I don't know if it is because of a different codec the video is using, but if it was I would expect the fans to ramp up from trying to decode it. Instead, my laptop stays always silent, but the video laggs like crazy when I want to play it at native 1440p.

I cannot view or change the video codec, since the current issue happens on a platform (herohero.com) other than youtube.

FINALLY got my zorin os to update, and now also have the newest version of firefox uploaded and working. My singlefile addon works properly, I have upgraded to the newest versions of my video downloaders, and I have cleared my history, but my 2 video downloaders still don't recognize any videos on youtube. Any suggestions or alternative downloaders?

Greetings! I've been a Firefox evangelist for a long time! I'm having issue with my Dell Precision 5530 pushing Firefox audio to a Bluetooth speaker connected to PC. Others browsers work fine, however FF wants to use the speakers on my monitor, connected via HDMI. I've tried to change several times, however FF does not want to use the BT.

So Im currently trying to watch young sheldon on netflix, and im doing it through firefox, and it wont work, it says error code f7701-1003, thank you for your time.

AV1 Hardware Acceleration stopped working. In about:support->Media->Codec Support Information Firefox states that Harware Decode AV1 is supported but it uses only Software Decoding. AV1 worked perfeclty before in Firefox, is still working in other browsers and apps in my system.

Since I updated to Firefox 141.02 I have not been able to play videos on Paramount+ or Netflix. I get an error on the top that says the Widevine plugin has crashed on both streaming services. I have checked that the plugin is on and there are no updates. I am on Ubuntu 24.04. Video on YouTube plays as normal

YouTube videos are playing choppily in Firefox. The video frequently stutters/freezes or does not play smoothly, even when the same videos work normally in another browser. I have restarted Firefox and my device, but the problem continues. I would like help identifying whether the cause is hardware acceleration, Firefox extensions, graphics drivers, or another Firefox setting, and I would appreciate step-by-step troubleshooting instructions.

Hello everybody, i hope you are having a great day!. I have a problem with Youtube about the frames drops, in 1080p60fps i have drops but in 1080p normal don't. For system operative i'm using Fedora 43. And the Firefox version is the 145.0.1 64 bits. My specs are low: Intel i5 6200u with his integrated graphics (Intel HD 520) Already installed the extension h264ify, and i think i have all the correct drivers and codecs from the rpmfusion (ffmpeg, mesa freeworld) If u need more detail and information i can give it to you. Some videos work perfectly fine, however for some videos audio lags behind the video. The same video file perfectly works in Chromium as a control test. Example file is MP4, inside was initially h264 video with AAC audio, for test I re-encoded video to be svt-AV1 with AAC / flac as well - no difference, audio still lags behind. Local players (mpv) and Chromium works perfectly. No plugins which can affect it - for testing disabled them all. I really try hard to like Firefox but this thing is a real bummer. Any ideas what can be causing? P.S. I tested both firefox compiled from source and binary package provided by my distro. Linux system if that matters.

Have to keep pressing keys periodically when streaming video in a Firefox tab to prevent the screen going dark. The Ubuntu Mate Power Management settings have all been configured to prevent the System from doing so, so I'm wondering if this has something to do with Firefox. As a caregiver for a disabled person otherwise without television access I would find this very helpful.
