When I launch Firefox, it uses well under 1GB in memory, but then it starts to increase that amount quickly in just a few minutes and gets up to 50+GB, causing error messages to pop up repeatedly until it uses all resources and locks up my computer. I have updated my MAC OS and the Firefox app, uninstalled the Firefox App and still have the same problem.

Please help

I started noticing my browser was running rough, and I tracked it down to Youtube, but only when I have a video in fullscreen. It doesn't appear to be affected by the codec, av0/avc/vp09 all suffer from it.

Incognito mode (no extensions) is still affected by it, but a separate profile + troubleshoot mode are not. My RTX 5080 is showing about 2% usage when playing a video, 0% at idle.

How do I nail down what's causing this?

I'm elderly,so bear with me. Firefox very often slips off the screen or simply vanishes.Often it disappears to a thin,gray line at the bottom. Can't open a document and have Firefox available,too. I'm 84....are my fingers worn out? Dave P.

For those of us that do want to use AI for work performance enhancement purposes, I have a question and also a comment for the Development Team. Here is the scenario real quick. I use Mozilla Firefox as my trusted browser today and that means that I open other AI systems such as ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, etc. within this browser and could at times be running multiple browser sessions at the same time. My question is, will the Mozilla new AI Features attempt to try and compete with my other chat sessions for data capture, response and participation if I keep portions or the whole system enabled? The last thing I need is Mozilla AI as the selected browser now interfering with my other work flow processes in anyway including just listening along which would significantly increase the amount of resources used to run the Mozilla AI in parallel with other AI systems on my computer. I have heavy work loads at times and am already experiencing browser delays in processing data (even when setting up separate project chats for specific tasks) because of too many added features within all of the AI systems like historical chat session quick links on the right side of the screen. That's a ton of data that ends up getting stored/cached, referenced and processed with each command executed. I don't mind using Mozilla AI within the browser for general personal surfing and Q&A purposes but I can see this potentially becoming a big issue for us creators working with large image data processing tasks in other AI systems via the Mozilla browser. I will unfortunately be turning all of these Mozilla AI features off to start because I am not sure there really is a clear separation path for resource allocations within the browser now keeping my experience fast and efficient. Most likely this will force me into using a different browser product for personal vs business until things are much clearer. Hoping to learn a little bit here and see that things like this are being taken into consideration, even if it is a product roadmap enhancement for release sometime in the near future. When I navigate through multiple pages on the phone, especially when the connection quality is not very good, the whole app sometimes stop loading anything.

1. Open multiple pages or SPA that would frequently make XHR requests during usage (like X/Twitter) 2. Navigate though those pages, make actions that is definitely going to initiate new http requests 3. Repeat until some contents staying in load progress 4. You'll get blank page if you open new page from now on 5. Killing the process (in app details) would reset this behavior.

Feels like there is a connection or worker thread pool that is running out of available resources.

When doing anything that requires momentarily leaving browser focus, such as hopping to an authentication app or email or text to receive a 2 factor authentication code, the browser will refresh the current page every time I hop back to Firefox.

This usually causes in most cases the code I left to retrieve to become expired as it now wants a new one when the page refreshes. In most cases this also wipes out the entire content of forms that I have taken time filling in. This can happen any time the app loses focus, even if somebody just phones me and I don't even volunterily leave the app.

This browser is slow in browsing compared to the Chromium engine on low-end Android devices. Also, this browser doesn't have a special YouTube feature to "swipe from the top" (swipe down) to see the video in Portrait Fullscreen mode (one video in fullscreen in portrait mode, not landscape). This removes the video suggestions shown below the main video to maintain high focus on the current video. Brave has this feature; that's why I use the Brave browser to replace YouTube Premium. And I use Firefox with uBlock Origin to remove all ads from Facebook only. So in short, I use Firefox to browse Facebook and I use the Brave browser to watch YouTube. (You might wonder why I don't use Brave to browse Facebook? Brave's built-in ad blocker is weaker than uBlock Origin, which can't remove all Facebook ads even in aggressive mode. That's why I use Firefox for Facebook). But I want everything in Firefox Android. Please focus on popular platforms like Facebook and YouTube, so that people think that we don't need to buy Premium; we can use Firefox with the uBlock Origin extension without buying Premium for removing ads.

I have a problem: when I open any Instagram reels link like from google , facebook , forum , etc https://www.instagram.com/reels/****/ the browser freezes. After a bit, a “stop” message shows up. When I click it, it opens a blank page like the one in the screenshots, and the tab completely freezes — I can’t go back, forward, or even close it. Even if I close the browser, it keeps running in the background. There are no extensions enabled (I’m using troubleshoot mode). windows 10 64

Hello, And sorry for my bad English. I use Firefox for more than 20 years on my computer and for years on my smartphone. But since few months, there's a "bug" on Android: When I launch Firefox or launch again after be back to another app, the page is black screen and need few seconds (15-20-30s) before load. And, sometime, the page reload with the same time but delete all information that I've enter before, that is very problematic wheel there's a formular in the page. It's really unuseful and very annoying. Have you a solution for that? Thank in advance for your help. Have a good day :) PS: it's very annoying because all the time we ask you a question or problem, you said it's not you or or another service of your company... I'm really a fan of Firefox, Thunderbird and donator to mozilla company ; but, really, it's annoying that you ignore the problem and bug of your app, and finally don't solve it because you ignore them...

This problem is worst when doing online shopping. When entering card details, I will often need to switch to my banking app to confirm a transaction. When I return to Firefox this will then reload the page, usually losing the transaction state and making it impossible to complete the purchase.
