I have read the solutions for threading and well they either don't work or are not options. There is no View>sortby. I have a view> toolbars view>layout and view>folders none of which even have a sortby under them. I can not deal with this threading. I hate to give up Thunderbird but I cant work like this. HELP

I work with a number of people where I need to copy and paste in words from Greek or Hebrew into my English text to be read in the letters from original language (Greek or Hebrew) NOT in English letters. I used to be able to do that without any problem a few years ago, but your current versions keeps changing the text into its perceived English equivalent. How do I get Thunderbird to STOP doing this and instead allow me to copy and paste words from another language into my discussion text so the person looking at the words I copied and pasted, knows exactly what word I used, not some transliteration of that word?

Example: "We turn to Liddell-Scott unabridged: “cristo,j, h,, o,n, (cri,w)..." As you can see, instead of showing the word in Greek letters, it shows it in English letters. Liddell-Scott is a lexicon for Greek words. I need the ability to have the letters show up in the original language. This is essential for clarity.

For YEARS I have successfully sent daily photos in my Thunderbird with no problem. Procedure: I highlight the photos to send, click "send to"/"mail recipient". Thunderbird then autonatically opens, with a box showing a choice of small, medium, large, or original size, and displays the overall total size in eacg case, so I can max the quality of what I send. I make my "total mb" choice, and click "attach". A blank email opens, I simply enter the destination email address , and all is sent. Simple., Done. Time after time. Today..EVERY time I do this (send/mail recipient/choose size/ attach) the email page now opens with abig square pop up on teling me i need to open an account! It says "IN ORDER TO RECEIVE MESSAGES YOU MUST FiRST SET UP AN ACCOUNT" ( I am trying to SEND anyway, not recieve) I have never had this problem , I am doing nothing different. I clearly DO have an account, as I have always been ablke to send photos and emails. I canNOT get past this and it is very frustrating. (Despite saying "choose account" It only offers one type anyway; a "Newsgroup" acct. I dont want one, and have never previously needed one. It was ALL working fine yesterday. Is this some glitch in the latest update? If s how doI go back to the one that actually worked? I send photos every day, to people bedridden, who need them; this is a serious problem for me. I have 3 different email addresses, 2 for myself and one for my wife. These all us the same mail server with the same settings. I got her a new Win11 laptop and now she is only getting a small percentage of the emails she used to. My 2 addresses still seem to work fine. I used the method of copying the whole Thunderbird folder over when I installed Thunderbird on the new computer. I looked at her email and it looks like she has stored a lot of emails with some sort of graphics in them. This is the only thing different from the other 2 as far as I can tell. She has only two filters with minimal items, one is for sex-related garbage and the other contains only 2 items which don't look like they would redirect much. I checked the folders they redirect to and there is hardly anything there. I have temporarily redirected them to two folders I created so as to check to see if there might be something going on there.

Are there any suggestions for trying to fix this?

I have not been abe to access my Thunderbird account and e-mails since 06 January 2022.

I had not changed any of my settings, but I am repeatedly getting the same messages. Initially, I was getting a message telling me that I had to log in with my primary password, which hadn't needed to do previously, but also I was told that my Thunderbird log in password was incorrect, but I was able to use the same password to access my e-mails via PlusNet for my madasafish e-mails. I have since managed to change my primary password, which allows me to the Thunderbird e-mail page that shows me my e-mails until January 06 of this year, but it asks me to sign in at this stage, but it won't accept the original password that I normally used and that still works for PlusNet.

If you could help, I would be extremely grateful, as I do not want to swtich from Thunderbird as it is my preferred platform.

Using Thunderbird, I have connected to my Google Calendar. For a holiday in USA in July, I am entering the schedule into a New calendar in my Google calendar. Being a NERD, I am applying the correct timezone, rather than just using the default SydneyAustralia. That means the flight leaving Las Vegas at 8:50 shows up as the time in Australia on the visual (and reported) schedule. Which is a bit like I want, as for my family, those are the local times that I will be flying. But for ME, with the printout in my pocket, I want it to show 8:50 so I know to catch the flight. Is it possible to change Windows/Thunderbird settings so it "looks" like I'm in a different timezone and the report will show as that timezone?

I use Windows 10, Firefox, Thunderbird. My ISP is Suddenlink Communications. You need to know that I'm a retired Presbyterian pastor and not much of a geek. I suspect my email problems began when Thunderbird Version 78 was replaced by Thunderbird Version 91 about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I have spoken to Suddenlink technical support techs 3 or 4 times. Today I spoke to tech who had me log onto Suddenlink.net using Chrome. My Thunderbird email worked perfectly using Chrome. The test I tried was to email myself to see if Chrome could deliver my email msg question.....Is this cussed Thunderbird Email ever going to work correctly?......about 10 seconds later my sent email arrived at my Inbox on Chrome. The tech's conclusion and mine was that the Thunderbird server, Suddenlink's server, and my desktop computer are NOT in sync. How my email can work correctly using Chrome is a mystery to me because I have NOT installed Thunderbird on my Chrome browser. If you need me to help your tech in some way it would be best if you call me at [removed phone# from public] first and if I'm not in please leave a message on my answerphone.

This is the bottom line. If somebody doesn't correct this out-of-sync email problem for I will be writing the CEO or whoever is in charge. I have been a customer of Suddenlink since 2009, a user of Firefox since 2007 and a Thunderbird user for over 5 years, I think. Furthermore, I don't like Microsoft or Google but if I have to switch and deal with the demons of the devil, I will.....to get my email back and operating correctly. Cordially, Jon L. White, Pastor

I am unable to get Thunderbird to access my existing profiles. Name Thunderbird Version 91.7.0 Build ID 20220305171341 OS: Windows 10 My existing profiles are on my D: drive. Always have been. Unable to get get this version to look on the D drive for profiles

My question was why does cursor disappear in Mozilla Thunderbird email. I did not find answer in forum, but worked it out... Open Windows start menu. Type mouse. Open mouse / Advanced Options. Find "Hide cursor when typing" box... uncheck it. Fixed. Hope that helps someone!!!

Just recently, I am unable to send replies or attachments from my Thunderbird email. My service is Comcast and I have verified my outgoing server settings as directed by Comcast. I also tried turning off my Norton for outgoing mail, still having the issue. Last week emailed worked fine.

Sending of message failed. Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.kingharald.co.uk. Emails work ok for a while, then I get a few days of this error message and then it seems to fix itself. It's not working just now. How do I fix this?

Hello i wanted to move my emails storage from c/user/user/appdata.... to d/thunderbird/profile.... results a lost all... i have 2 or 3 email accounts i cant attach the new D/ .../rpfile/8dsw...to others 2 email account only to 1 so i decide to get back ( C/ user/.../profile/8dsw... still in pc ) and get no more emails on 3 account and i if i add the profile file (8dsw...) to 1 email account show me all file associated to the account but nothing in inbox... ahhh misery misery ...
