My Thunderbird is not responding whatsoever, i have tried so many of the fixes in the forums however none have worked?

  • Deleted Parent.lock
  • Tried to hold Shift whilst opening app (no response)
  • Ran restore which showed issues however still not opening?

I have tried a few more and searched so much that I cannot remember...

I have 5 email profiles on there and I cannot access emails!!!

How to ask for help on the Thunderbird forum????

I'm just going round and round in circles here, I click 'Get help', it links to all product forums, I get to the Tbird forum but there is NOTHING on there to click to ask a question, only to answer questions, so I've had to come here to ask...

My install of Tbird updated. Now it is not removing junk mail.

All the settings are correct; it SHOULD be moving the junk mail to the junk folder. It IS recognizing junk as junk, but my only option is to mark as "not junk". It IS junk, so that doesn't help.

I've tried, repeatedly, clicking "run filters on folder" but the junk is still sitting there. It's NOT marked as junk, unless you open it and then it has the 'not junk' option.

Normal non-junk mail is normal.

Is there any way of reverting back to an earlier version that works? I should add I have had this problem with Tbird before and it's sort of, somehow, sometimes, fixed itself, sort of thing. I'd like to take action and fix this, now.

What to do?

Under tools-accounts-junk settings it says to move all junk mail to junk folder. It IS set for that, it just doesn't actually do so.

In the last two days all of my messages have been immediately marked as read (i.e., unread messages do not show up in bold). In options I have chosen 'Automatically mark messages as read after displaying for 10 seconds', and in the past this has meant the incoming message showed as bold until I opened and read it, and that the main display indicated how many unread messages I had. I am using Firefox 78.13.0 in Windows 10, but this did not happen after an update: it simply happened overnight. Just now I sent a message from my Gmail account to my Firefox address and have not opened it in Firefox: on my iPad it shows as unread, but on my PC it shows as read, even though I haven't touched it. This problem applies to all three mailboxes in the Firefox account: when I look at the main Firefox display, there is no bold to indicate that any of the mailboxes have new messages.

 This is very annoying in terms of business--I can't immediately see whose messages I have not yet read, and whether any new messages have arrived in a particular mailbox since I last opened Firefox (it is too distracting to keep it open all the time).  Many thanks for any help.

This is a question relating to Thunderbird. I want to increase the default text size in incoming emails to make them easier to read, but I cannot find how to do it. I have to use zoom (Ctrl++) on every one as I read it. Have tried altering things in Settings but no help. Can anyone help, please?

Was using Thinderbird yestarday morning. Closed it. Opened it a couple of hours later and I get the same screen a brand new install would get. I am unable to get Thunderbird to access my existing profiles. Name Thunderbird Version 91.7.0 Build ID 20220305171341 OS: Windows 10 My existing profiles are on my D: drive. Always have been. Unable to get get this version to look on the D drive for profiles

My question was why does cursor disappear in Mozilla Thunderbird email. I did not find answer in forum, but worked it out... Open Windows start menu. Type mouse. Open mouse / Advanced Options. Find "Hide cursor when typing" box... uncheck it. Fixed. Hope that helps someone!!!
