After being on the right side for decades, the Options button on the remote content box was moved to the left side. How does this improve accessibility for the average user? Is there a rational reason for doing so?

In Windows 11, Thunderbird 140, how do I increase the font size in new events box?

- I have tried to make the changes in Windows 11 settings (text size) and this has not helped. - I never had this problem in the past when using Windows 10.

I have "Googled" this problem and had no results.

I'm trying to get Thunderbird working on Windows.

I can't read thin faint Windows-style font rendering. I can set * {font-weight: bolder !important;} in userChrome.css, but since Thunderbird relies on boldness to distinguish unread and read messages, I'd need to find another way to distinguish these.

I also use MacType, but it doesn't seem to affect Thunderbird or Firefox.

As far as I can see, either 1. if the css can distinguish unread and read messages, maybe I could set extrabold and semibold, or I could set different colors. Or 2. I could set a bolder font with good-enough script support.

I could have copied each one of two different emails from Hotels to Volos as Nefeli & Park with their savings on Thunderbird because I have restarted at the first before two hours as well as I wrote thoroughly a plenty of my fixed changes under any circumstances but I was tired of many efforts yesterday nightly & tonight...

Hi. I successfully used Thunderbird a few years ago BUT went to Mailbird BAD MOVE.

I INSTALLED the software again fine but on running it needs a password which I haven’t got if it’s the password to my email hosting company IONOS Thunderbird tells me they have a problem with IONOS so I’m VERY stuck.

I have been using this system since 2008 through a company called Bluewave. They are shutting down at the end of May and I need full service for everything but main email. I need to talk (like on the phone) to someone who can help me in some way. I am not computer savvy so please have someone patient. I own AuPurr Cat care and don't want to lose our database, etc. info already on file. Am I contacting the right company for this help? My direct # is [edited phone# from community support forum]

It very important to me to be abler to Turn OFF Dark mode when a recent TB update defaulted to that mode.

Why? Because I have vision problems. So I run everything under Windows' "High Contrast" mode, which changes all displayed colors and backgrounds.

Given that is how my system is set,  Windows "flips" your new Dark Mode into a light and low contrast image that I cannot easily read. 

SO For users like me who must depend on Windows High Contrast settings, everything is fine as long as Thunderbird retains the option to TURN OFF DARK MODE. Please be sure to maintain this option Forever, or TB will become unusable to users like me.

Need help getting into my emails from my cell phone. This app is no help at all. Every time I go in there it just says oh have an account sign in and then it says I don't know my own email and my own password. I can't get it reset because you want to send something to my home phone and I'm not there. I'm in Owen sound and it wants to send something to my email which I can't get asked access to. No wonder nobody wants to use this app. Please fix this so I can continue using this email when I'm away and at home. It's my main email. Everything goes here until I can change it My cell number is <redacted>. You cannot email me unless you want to email me at <redacted>@gmail.com

Guten Tag Gemeinde und Helfer, Ich bin 81 Jahre und habe meinen Laptop entsprechend für meinen Augen eingestellt. Nun stelle ich fest das zwei der folgenden Probleme bestehen: 1. Die farbliche Hervorherbung von Wörtern in Thunderbird funktioniert nicht. D.h. ich kann keine Schriftfarbe ändern.

2. Beim Aufruf von Webseiten (z.Bsp.: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atomwaffenverbotsvertrag) wird die unterschiedliche Farbmarkierung in der Legende von Grafiken falsch angezeigt. D.h. die Legende ist allles in Schwarz.

Ich habe in der zwischen Zeit folgende Lösungsversuche durchgeführt: 1. Neuinstallation 2. Durchlesen und Suche im Hilfeforum

There's a community of people who need to be able to turn off single key shortcuts. I'm one of them because I use some speech input, and a stray word from you or an office mate when the focus is in the wrong place can cause a lot of havoc that's difficult to undo. You can also get in trouble when typing – hitting a stray "a" can archive something without you realizing it, and this has happened to me as well. A cat going across the keyboard can also cause an awful lot of havoc that's difficult to track down and reverse. If we could simply turn off single key shortcuts, that would go a long way toward solving this problem. Even better if we could remap them. There is an extension that does this but it's aimed at developers and also requires full control of your computer, which removes is as an option for more people. I think you'd make many people happy building in something simpler -- alternate keybindings for single key shortcuts, a setting to turn the single key shortcuts off, or, best yet, the ability to remap them. Hello Development team, I am a long-time user of the Thunderbird e-mail client, having used it since it was Netscape Communicator. I have suffered from many upgrades that did not work well with my style of communication. However, the disappointing upgrade events using TB have been well overridden by the successful use of the overall e-mail client. Today’s topic is the latest upgrade, 140.0.1esr. The message page in dark mode shows darker links and text than it did using the add-on (Dark Mode). I have lost the ability to control text colors and the link status colors. I do not want to wander into the Config Editor to try and correct the linking status with a custom CSS entry. I have discovered the switch on the message panel to disable the “Dark Message Board”. I don’t like this method. I prefer a dark background and the ability to customize the message and link status colors while reading my messages.

I am trying to set up both firefox and thunderbird on a new very small (12 inch screen) for travel and with a windows custom magnification of 110 for disabilities. The finish set up screen in firefox and the give thunderbird access to your google accounts screen in thunderbird do not appear to be showing the whole screen with no way to get to the bottom to click the critical allow or continue buttons. Those buttons appear to not exist. I am having the same problem trying to sign out of machines replaced several years ago - I can click which ones I want to sign out but it brings up a screen asking why with no continue button so I am stuck. Help!

Thunderbird Calendar New Events Box font size is too small on my laptop. Is there a way to enlarge them please. If not, could you please include a setting in future updates to change the font size. I am an elderly person who's eyes are not as good as they used to be. Kind regards: Gary Shaw
