Hi there, I've recently swapped over from a cpanel account on godaddy to their managed wordpress plan and it has changed how my main email@domain.com account is set up on my thunderbird account. I can receive and view emails, but I can't send anything through thunderbird. I can however, send through the outlook website.

Is there something i'm missing in the setup, or is it just not possible to do so? Went through support with godaddy and get this message every time I send an email.

Asks for password - I type it in

I have also tried without a password and had no success.

Using Thunderbird Version 78.9.1, on Windows 10 20H2. I can no longer drag/drop an email contact from "All Address Books," "Personal Address Book," or "Collected Addresses," to any of my 12+ address lists. When I attempt to drag&drop, it places a duplicate contact in the source book instead of copying into the destination list. I'm not certain how long the problem has existed, the last time I needed to perform this task was about three months ago. I usually take upgrades as soon as they are offered.

Hello

It might seem strange that I'm asking how to post a question on the TB forum when I'm actually doing so but yet again, I had to find the "post question" address on the Internet and copy it into my browser to bring up a TB Forum page with the "post question" button

There is simply no "post question" button that i can see while I'm visiting the forum otherwise

I've had this problem again and again

To resume, how do we get to the post question button when we are on the forum?

When I search for an email using the search facility I am usually able to click on the blue title in the list of possible emails and it is displayed for me to read.

I have found the (fairly recent) emails I'm looking for in the search results but I am not able to open them???? Others on the list work as expected.

Can anyone please explain why this has happened and more importantly how I can retrieve then from wherever they may be?

I must say I've found Thunderbird increasingly 'flakey' recently which is very worrying.

I have only one email account in Gmail and I am using Thunderbird as my email app. However, the following heading and contents appeared in 3 different headings as follows: 1. name@gmail.com

     Inbox
     Drafts
     Sent
     Junk

2. (Gmail)

     Drafts
     Sent mail
     All mail
     Spam
     Bin
     Important

3. Local folders

     Deleted
     Outbox

Instead of having the same items repeating all over the place, can't it be more streamlined like: 1. name@gmail.com

     Inbox
     Drafts
     Sent
     Junk
     Spam
     Bin

The above appearance would definitely look much tidier. Please let me have your comments.

Thunderbird emails appearing in "Junk Mail" mysteriously

For the last several months some of my emails have ended up in the "Junk Mail" folder somehow. Previously all my junk mail went to "Junk" and was flagged with yellow flame and shortly deleted. The email now going to "Junk Mail" includes some from relatives and Medicare. Fortunately none is flagged as junk but of course is a pain to move to the inbox manually. Has there been a redesign of Thunderbird somehow causing email to end up in that directory? Is that something that my ISP Charter/Spectrum might be causing? Thanks, besides the constant "Not Responding" messages I get, this is making me wonder if I need to find another email program.

Tengo windows10 Pro y Thunderbird 78.9.1 (32-bit) , al insertar una tabla de Excel con bordes en thunderbird los bordes los pone de color rojo y el destinatario del correo lo recibe pero sin formato de la tabla los datos desfasados.

En u equipo que tengo Windows 8.1 pro y Thunderbird 78.9.1 (32-bit), inserto la misma tabla de Excel y el contorno de la tabla es de color negro y el destinatario lo recibe sin problema con el formato de la tabla.

Podrían apoyarme a resolver en este dilema.

Recently my ATT e-mail account in Thunderbird quit working. The inbound server couldn't connect. I deleted the saved password, but that didn't help. I deleted the ATT e-mail account from Thunderbird, and now I can't get it to re-add the ATT e-mail account. I have attached a screen shot of what may be indicating the start of the problem. I don't know.

I would appreciate any help related to getting my ATT e-mail account working again.

Thunderbird Column Order Reverts to Default After Changing Order and Display

With the most recent update of Thunderbird 78.5.1, three of my email accounts will not retain the column display order in the email list pane. These are IMAP accounts on the same email domain.

I try to change the columns displayed and sort order, and restart Thunderbird, and the columns revert back to default. I tried removing the accounts and recreating them. I even tried the Thunderbird 64-bit beta....still the same issue.

Everything was working well prior to a recent Thunderbird update.

What I'd like for the Columns to be is in the following order for all email accounts:

Thread > Starred > From > Subject > Attachment > Date

I also tried creating a Chrome folder and userChrome.css file in that folder to hide the columns I don't want to see.

I also tried to edit the prefs.js file to change the column order and display..

Neither of the two above seem to have any impact on what I'd like to accomplish.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I've been using Thunderbird for many years, and this is the first time experiencing this kind of issue.
