Hi, I know this is something I must have done but my minimize, maximize and close tabs on Thunder bird have disappeared. I have search everywhere and can't see what I might have done or how I can return them.
With the upcoming version of Thunderbird (v53) no longer supporting XP, will there be a 64bit version of it soon?
Thanks

I worry that if my computer fails, my emails will all be "lost". How can I set up my computer to automatically upload copies of all my emails from Thunderbird to my "One Drive" cloud account? Alternatively, if that's a bad idea I want to load them onto a usb stick or a CD? I cannot believe this hasn't been asked before but having searched I didn't find it anywhere.

I have a new notebook preloaded with Win8.1. Have set Chrome as default browser. Installed Thunderbird and everything seems to work fine until I click on a hyperlink in a message body... nothing happens. This was before any add-ons were added. I have read the help article... default browser setup - already set. ... other items were reviewed and I found no abnormalities in my settings.
This seems quite odd as I have no problems on my desktop. Any further ideas to fix this? It gets a little irritating to have to right-click -"Copy Link Location" and then paste into Chrome's address bar.

I changed the password for one of my Gmail accounts. When I try to use the account through Thunderbird as I usually do, a Google window pops requesting credentials on imap.gmail.com with a NEXT button to confirm. But when I click on NEXT nothing happens. I have checked the cookie settings and they are set correctly. What is happening?

Is there a way to add multiple recipients manually? I can only add 3 recipients.
There is no way to add another recipient address box.
The only way around it that I can see is add multiple recipients to my address book then add them to my email then delete them all.
Using Outlook in my day job I can just put a colon between recipients in a single box - will this work?

My wife just upgraded to Windows 10 and both Foxfire and Thunderbird are missing from the desktop home page. We depend on Thunderbird for our email, and I have no idea how to get the Thunderbird account on her computer now. Is it hidden somewhere in that new Windows OS (I hate it already!)? Or do I have to go through the whole process of downloading and installing and setting up both programs all over again? My wife did not do backups of windows 7 like she should have, so there isn't anything saved that is useful for this purpose. What should I do BEFORE I start the upgrade process on my PC (which I am now using) or my laptop, both of which are still running Windows 7? At 75 I'm getting tired of all the constant changing going on, none of which has made computing easier or faster, just more difficult. Give me Windows 98SE - it was by far the easiest to use and the easiest to reinstall and not lose anything.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
I want to backup all emails and replies on a daily basis. How can I do this? Also including address book would be nice.

All of my emails disappeared from Thunderbird Inbox. Messages in "Sent" and "Trash" are OK. I tried deleting the "Inbox.msf" file, as suggested by some, then re-started TB, but inbox is still empty. My messages are apparently still in the "Inbox" file (under "Profile"), but are all gobblety-gook with tons of numbers & codes. I did copy all of that mess, but do not have any idea how to get it back into my inbox and have it readable. Can anyone help?

Typing an e mail the font will change to a smaller and different font. I find this frustrating and an called for. I have to keep going into options and chose another font and start typing again until the next time. Thunderbird is the only one with this problem and going by the members number they are complaining about this. Why can't Thunderbird fix this very annoying fault?

Hello,
I am about to do a new fresh install of my Windows 7 and I was wondering if it is possible to somehow transfer/copy the account settings on Thunderbird, so I won't have to set up everything form scratch again upon re-installing. What I mean is all the different e-mail accounts, folders and e-mail filters etc that I have set up. Is there a way I can transfer all that onto a fresh install of Thunderbird on my new Windows 7 install? This would save me a lot of time and work. I am not talking about transferring e-mails (I know how to do that manually), but all the account settings and such.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Lars
