Hello, Can anyone help with server issues? I'm able to sign in and open Thunderbird but i can not receive or send any emails. It states my server is the issue but i attempted everything i saw online in regards to turning on and off my proxy and firewalls as well as checking the port was 587 for outgoing but its still not working can someone assist me in fixing this.

Hello, I have Thunderbird running on two different OS's. Linux (115.3.1) and Windows 11.(115.4.1). Both act the same way. Both are have the same email address and are linked to two gmail accounts. I have noticed that web based gmail email there is only a "Sent" Folder. On Thunderbird there is a "Sent" and "Sent Mail" folder. on one account the other only has "Sent" They are not always in sync. When I send an email, sometimes it seems to "Hang" sometimes not. I am wondering if I can remove the "Sent Mail" folder or the "Sent" folder as that could be causing the problem?

I've been using Thunderbird for many years.

TB has been working fine for all those years. and I have probably thousands of emails stored. Then, I went on a trip Sep 28 to Oct 14 and did not use Thunderbird for about 17 days. On my return, I tried to open TB. I found that a screen opened that I hadn't seen before, and TB seemed to be loading. While loading, at the bottom of the screen it said "Checking inbox for new messages...". Then, after a while it crashed without ever opening.

I tried to open TB several times after that, and I've always gotten the same behavior -- ending with a crash and never being able to open TB.

During the loading once, I clicked on Help >AboutThunderbird, which showed 115.3.3.(32-bit) and "Downloading Update 2.4 of 5.4 MB."

The last four Crash Reports, all dated 10/31/2023 are (the last one being the latest): bp-e634fd35-1b8a-488a-a9df-c23050231101 bp-73858652-569e-4362-95d6-030490231101 bp-992529bf-d1af-41d9-a438-43c370231101 bp-c39563fd-bca7-406f-8abf-85bde0231101

Mailer service is gMail. Incoming as normal as POP3. Never see duplicates at my mail account service gMail. Thunderbird version is 115.4.1 (64-bit). Platform is MacBook Pro. OS is Apple macOS Ventura Version 13.6.1 (22G313)

Joke, but we all need to have a certain grade of stability. Tired of suffering the nasty issue. Happening as of now since months ago.

115 seems much more sluggish overall than previous versions

115.4.1 is terribly slow. When stuff is going on in background like downloading or filtering, I cannot use the interface to select messages or folders. It is very annoying. I can only imagine that when I archive 1000 or more messages every 6 months, that the system is going to choke.

Thunderbird was working great until today... you "offered" me an upgrade to SuperNova 115 after which I am no longer receiving any incoming email. Does not even ask me for the password on startup as the old version did. I have checked the Windows Firewall and added Thunderbird.exe. I need help getting this to work or reverting back to previous version. Also, I recently lost a great deal of pop mail from the inbox and would like to know why - it was telling me I could not Compact the Inbox due to not enough space or not having permissions - neither of which should have been a problem. Please don't make me switch to Gmail!! Help......

I select multiple files in File Explorer and select, right click, Send To, Thunderbird, but only one of the files actually appears in the Thunderbird email. It appears that which one shows up as an attachment to the email is quite random. This used to work fine with all the selected files showing in the email, I haven't upgraded anything so far as I know, and I don't think I have changed anything at all. Any ideas most welcome. Incidentally, if I select only one file to send then it works fine; if I select multiple files to send through Outlook, then that works fine. I just cannot send multiple files through Thunderbird. I am using Thunderbird version 115.4.1 (64 bit). I have looked at the issue on Microsoft pages and they are of the opinion that this is a Thunderbird issue, not a Windows one. Hi, I use a old Thunderbird version (38) for Windows Serveur 2003 and I can't connect a Microsoft 365 account. He indicate " A error with login or password" (screenshot in attachment). My password is correct, because it is OK with an other computer with recent Windows and Thunderbird version. I think the problem is with OAuth. Do you have a solution ? Thank you for your support.

Hello, Since the update to Thunderbird Supernova from version 102 upwards, emails in several email folders are automatically deleted or hidden. The properties in the respective folders are listed under Retention rules: Do not delete messages.

The emails displayed in the folders no longer correspond to the contents in the folders. Example: A folder displays: 7, properties in the same folder displays: 1226 with 447 MB. It looks similar in the other folders.

How can I ensure that all available emails are displayed in Thunderbird again?

A repair with *.msf does not help.

Hello, I'm using Thunderbird (and before Netscape Messenger) already 30 years. With this new version 115.4.1 (32-Bit) I'm now experiencing the symptom, that, when I reopen one of the mailboxes the focus is not in this mailbox on the last read mail as it was always in earlier versions, it now focusses somewhere so that you always have to scroll to the point where you have been last time.

When composing an email and attempting to select an address from the 3 email accounts I use in Thunderbird, I am having difficulty selecting the email address I want to use. I'm clicking on an email address that opens Thunderbird in a compose window when this happens. It is a new issue but has been present a couple of weeks at least.
