Hello,

I have installed the Lightning Calendar add-on on Thunderbird for about a year now. Yesterday, something happened and as a result the dates of my scheduled events in the Today Pane have disappeared and only the starting time of the events show up. Here is a screenshot, where you can see the exact problem: http://i.imgur.com/wYgQgmD.png

I have set the Date Text Format as "Long" in Thunderbird/Options/Calendar/General/General Settings, so it's not the same problem this guy had: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1114045

The problem might have occured after i accidentally hit the "Synchronize" button in the Calendar tab (screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/EvIHjpu.png), but i can't be sure as i didn't notice instantly.

Can someone tell me how to fix it?

How can I stop this from happening and ..... How do I get back the absent folders with messages

For the future, How can I back up my emails OUTSIDE Thunderbird to have a fail-safe in case this continues.

Examples of folders lost include

    Orders (Historic confirmations of orders placed - - Amazon, etc.
    Church (emails from church friends)
    Vacations (emails from reservations and tickets)
          This included specific vacations like  "2015",    etc

For about 5 days, the SENT folder was invisible, but then it just reappeared this morning.

I use the latest version of Thunderbird for Windows. I have a problem with my many outlook.com email accounts at times in this way... I have 3 computers all configured the same and with 44 email accounts plugged into Thunderbird and it works fine when I'm on my home network and the IP my ISP assigned to me. But, when I use a VPN and to the outside world, my IP changes, all my outlook.com accounts pretty much shutdown and become useless until I logon live.com with a browser. It's a security mechanism I know, outlook is trying to prevent a hacker from logon into my accounts from a different IP address. But, in my case, it's me trying to logon and needless to say, it's very frustrating and annoying to basically have my outlook accounts not functional when using a VPN.

When I setup the accounts I let Thunderbird configure everything, I didn't do anything manual. Could it be a pop or IMAP thing?

I've conversed a couple of times on some Microsoft community forums and nobody knows how to help. On of them suggested I contact the Thunderbird community to seek a remedy. So here I am, hoping there's something within Thunderbird that might eliminate the problem.

Does anyone have any ideas? Please advise.

I would like to sync my contact that I have on outlook.com with Thunderbird. I find the option to select and use a LDAP Directory server. But I am unsure how to set this up for outlook.com.

I asked on the Microsoft forums and they said try this. It's so annoying when you ask for help and all they say is it not us it them. ><

Can someone please help me?

Can not get email.

Thunderbird has worked great for several years but recently It will not retrieve emails. I keep getting this: Sending of password for user jscott1837@att.net did not succeed. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: maildrop busy.

Thunderbird works occasionally but mostly the above keeps happening.

What is wrong?

i have changed my ISP & email address since I have started using mozilla. I receive all emails to my new account as desired, and when I write emails they go out through my new account as well. but sometimes, (not always!) when I select "reply", thunderbird tries to send the reply through my OLD, inactive account, and I can't see why. can you suggest anything for me to check?

Email from one specific student has started being put into the Junk folder without the junk symbol beside it.

I keep telling Thunderbird that it is not junk, moving the email to a folder for that specific class that I teach. Thunderbird keeps moving that email back to Junk, again without the junk symbol beside it.

What do I need to do to convince Thunderbird not to move that person's email to the junk folder? I have received email from this user earlier in the semester without this problem. The first email that this started happening to is timestamped March 25. I don't remember if I had just updated Thunderbird or not, but my habit is to update whenever I'm notified that Thunderbird has been updated.

I am currently on Thunderbird 38.6.0. But I just now noticed that 38.7.1 is available. I will update to 38.7.1 and see if the problem continues.

Okay, still happening on 38.7.1.
