I am sending an email to several people and others as a BCC. If one of those people who receives it as a BCC hits "reply all", will everybody see his reply? Or do BCC recipients even have the option to reply all?

Finding it v difficult to sync thunderbird email with gmail, google contacts and google calendar on Windows 10. Not easy and addons don't seem to be there. May go back to using gmail as email client.

Dear team, I have been struggling a lot to adjust the font size of TB. I have not been able to find anything that can help (the css solution went right over my head sadly). Can someone please help? I can not read such small letters anymore. :(

Thunderbird 91 opens inbox pdf attachments in a new tab instead of in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Is there a way to revert back to the old behavior where these were opened in Adobe?

Hi everyone, maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I doubt I am the only one with this goal / question! I am trying to archive emails from an online provider to my local PC. I want to delete the emails from the online server and only keep a copy on my local archive. I have read the help here but did not find enough explanation regarding Archiving to know whether it is what I am looking for, or intended for a different purpose. Likewise with "Local Folders".

So I have potentially abused them both with the following configuration: 1) renaming my "Local Folders" account to "Archive", 2) setting my custom local folder under "Local Folders" (now "Archive") > "Local Directory", 3) creating subfolders for each email account, 4) specifying these folders under each "Account Settings" > "Copies & Folders" > "Message Archives" > "Other" > "<Folder Name> on Archive" (selecting the subfolder) 5) leaving Thunderbird on all night to synchronise

Unfortunately, the next day in my Archive folder were only tiny ".msf" files, so it clearly didn't do what I expected. So please tell me where I went wrong, and how I should rather setup my local archive. My aim is to delete online copies and move most mails offline.

I installed the "Mail Merge" extension, created a .csv file with multiple emails. However, even though I specified {{Email}} under the recipients. The "Mail Merge" extension won't let me send the message and displays the following message, "No recipients were specified. Enter a recipient or newsgroup in the address field."

This did not happen in the previous version of Mozilla Thunderbird.

Can you give me a solution?

In the options we can go to View > Sort by > and then change how the messages are sorted in the current folder. But to apply this to all folders we have to change it for each folders and subfolders. Is there a way to set a default sorting ?

P.S. : I'm not very good at english, if there are some errors please tell me.

I've read a lot of help on this - almost all of them say, "As you have discovered there are three visible TO/Cc/Bcc fields..." and: " type or select email address and press enter to move to next TO field".

None of that works. I have only ONE visible "To" field. It has no controls to change it to a Cc or Bcc one. There is a "CC" or "BCC" option beside the "From" field. Pressing Enter at the end of an address does precisely nothing.

Another copy of TB on another computer has all the features you gaily point to - but mine doesn't. Where do I find it?

Ultimately, I want to change the font for unread email in my in-basket, same as [thread]. Nothing I do in userChrome.css seems to have any effect. I'm running Windows 10. %AppData% = "C:\Users\Ron.000\AppData\Roaming".

Accordingly, I've placed userChrome.css here: C:\Users\Ron.000\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\xdl9kae3.default\chrome

I have toggled toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets to true

I have a Windows 7 desktop with Thunderbird 84.0b3 (32-bit) installed. I need help finding an add-on/software/etc in order to do a one-time download of 73 attachments, one for every e-mail. Each e-mail has only one attachment and they're all in one folder.

I installed the latest Thunderbird Mail Client configured it to send and receive mail, and installed Mail Merge, and created the Template, and added the fields to the body and {{Email}} in the To: field.

However, as soon as I clicked mail merge menu item or the button, it throws this error message,

Invalid Recipient Address: No recipients were specified. Please enter a recipient or newsgroup in the addressing area.

If I entered a valid email address, this error message does not appear. However, it defies the purpose of needing to mail merge.

Any suggestions to go past this?

Hi, I'm using Thunderbird 68.8.0 (32-bit) on Windows 10. My work account is based off gmail. I tried switching to the dark theme- but it seems the emails themselves still appear in a white background with the dark text. Tested for plain text mails, calendar invites as well.

Does anyone know of a workaround to get a true dark mode on actual emails as well? Thanks !

I used an email address crawler a few years ago, but it has not been maintained for some years. I could point it at a folder in my inbox and it would extract all of the email addresses into an address book. That meant I could sort my emails into folders and then create an address book for everyone in a particular folder. It would include all the CC'd addresses as well as the sender. It also meant I could resort the emails using different criteria and then create new address books which matched the new criteria. A very useful add-on.

Suddenly it says "The messages you have deleted can be purged from disk" every time I move emails. Every stupid time. Probably a very useful feature but just not how I have used things for the last decade or so. At first all I wanted to say was 'thank you but no thank you" Now it is getting beyond a joke. How do I get rid of this without deleting any emails? Yes I know they are nominally deleted but I've use that as an easy way to archive them and then copy them off as a history trail. All my accounts are carefully set to "Don't delete any messages". I like that. I mean it.

Hello, My work is mainly offering online sessions. It's often handy to keep my Thunderbird dashboard open to quickly check my INBOX. However when I do that I receive these notifications every time I receive an email and this is very distracting. I've looked everywhere, but I can't find the section with the button to turn that off. Please help ...

When I opened my email this morning I found that the "subject" column disappeared from all my folders. I no longer can see any subject lines in any folders. How can I restore and fix this?

I used to have my folders setup to view: From, Date, Subject. But now the subject has disappeared - Help please.

This new version, 91.0, now opens PDF files in a new Thunderbird tab. In previous versions, I could open PDF files in Acrobat Reader DC.

I want to still use Acrobat Reader DC to open PDF files. I can't find anything in preferences to direct PDF files to Acrobat Reader DC. When I right-click "open" on a PDF file, it does not give me the option to choose a program to open it with. It opens directly into a new Thunderbird tab.
