Hi, I'm running Thunderbird 102 beta and liking it. I'm not an experienced TB user so bear with me. Question regarding folders.

RIght now I have the "All Folders" area with four email accounts within it and a "Favorite Folders" section.

Is there a way to reorder "Favorite Folders" to be at the top and "all folders" below?

I Imap to multiple email addresses-- three at IONOS. My junk settings say not to classify as junk if the sender is in my personal address book. But sometimes my provider (IONOS) reclassifies the message as junk. I added a filter to move a message to my inbox if it is from me. The problem is that draft messages started being moved to the inbox. I modified the filter to not move the message if it is from my address. The filter ignores the sent folder. Why can't it ignore the drafts folder as well?

Hi, is there a document where I can find the reference for all the CSS classes used in Thunderbird? I just switched back from Apple Mail and the first thing I noticed is that there is no easy way to customize the font size of the interface. This should be a simple setting to improve Thunderbird to make it more inclusive and usable.

I wouldn't mind donating my engineering time to solve this problem, but I would appreciate some guidance regarding where to start. So, CSS?

Thanks,

Diego

I need to forward messages to other people using the bcc field because of privacy. However Thunderbird filters don't provide this option. That is, if I fill the option "forward to" with a few email addresses, everybody will receive my email where all the recipients are visible. How can I solve this drawback? (of course I don't want to forward the same message as many times as required for each recipient!) TIA Alberto

Using Thunderbird 102.9.0 (64-bit), Windows 10

To clarify what I mean in my title: I've set up a message filter that is supposed to search in the body that contains a word. I know the word is in the body, but yet the filter is not being triggered.

I have tried a different word that has spaces before and after and it seems to work, so I guess that's the problem, but how can I allow thunderbird to work when there's different characters before or after the word also?

Made a mistake by changing user_pref("layout.css.devPixelsPerPx" from I think - 0.5 to +0.5 as incoming emails font was miniscule, but made nor difference... so thought it may be a font size, so changed to 12.... Now ginormous and unreadable. Searched through pages here for an answer and got to the prefs.js folder to find this file but it is not there.... I searched with notepad edit search for "layout" but no luck. Any ideas anyone? I tried adding the line user_pref("layout.css.devPixelsPerPx", "1.5"); whilst TB was closed and then opened TB but had made no difference.. :-( Any ideas anyone? TIA Graham

I'm using the 64-bit version of thunderbird and I'm unable to increase the font size of the incoming messages in my inbox. I went to settings, general, Language and Appearance and under advanced changed fonts to 24, 20 and 20 while checking off the font control boxes. None of these changes the size of the text in the body of the text. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All of the answers for turning off Thread are from 2022 and refer to the "Column Selector > View > Unthreaded" But there is no longer a "View" option in the Column dropdown in May of 2023.

There is no mention of Threads in the options search. I don't see any clear walkthrough to edit the configurations. This should be a simple toggle - Threaded View = On/Off

With as many questions and follow-up responses as I've seen, why is this not a readily available option or why was it removed?

I'm sorting my emails by "read" status and grouping them in Threads. When a thread has an unread email in it, it doesn't sort with the other individual emails that are unread. The whole thread stays in the date order that it is created, instead of going to the bottom (I'm putting unread emails to the bottom of the list) along with the others. Is there a way to make threads sort along with the others?

I am looking at houses several times a day as they come in on emails. I was hoping there was an alteration in the settings that when clicking on a link it opens that link in the browser, but I don't lose focus from Thunderbird. There could be a hundred emails with house details, and I need to go through them methodically. What would be great to do, is click on the link if interested in the house details and then delete the email. Leaving me opening the new email with more house details, whilst the browser stays in the background. When I have completed the emails, I look on my browser at the ones I found interesting. Is there such a setting or addon for this? I hope I have put this succinctly? Thanks for reading, hope there is an answer.
