For the last few days, Thunderbird stops moving messages to the trash or junk. Also when I send a message, it can't move the message to the Sent box.

If I quit and reopen Thunderbird, it will work again for a while.

I tried "Repair Folder" on the Inbox, Trash, and Junk folders.

Using Thunderbird 24.3.0 on Mac OS X 10.7.5.

My Thunderbird is running very slow. I think it is partly because I have too many emails in folders. I would like to back up my emails and addresses and start 2015 with a clean thunderbird.

How can I backup my emails and addresses onto an external hard drive? How can I access them later if I need to read any of them?

Is it possible to sync Firefox/Thunderbird/Lightning (28.0/24.4.0/?) between a desktop (Windows 8.1) and a laptop (Windows 7)? I want to be able to make an email change on one computer and the change is applied to the other computer within a second or two. What do I do next to achieve my goal?

Windows 7, Thunderbird 24.4.0

I have been having some issues with Thunderbird not downloading emails. It does not do it even though it is scheduled to do it every 15 minutes, nor will it download email when I click the GET MAIL button. Nothing happens! It does not even make an attempt to download. I know this because the progress bar does not appear and nothing is downloaded even though I know that there are emails in my Yahoo email inbox.

Does anyone know how to fix this? And yes I have already tried reinstalling Thunderbird.

My OS is Win 8.1. My TB is 24.4. It worked fine yesterday 03-18-2014, but today it just runs and runs, no errors, no retrieval of email. I don't know what to look for or how to correct this extreme problem and have had to work with another email program that is not nearly as good as TB.

I have not added (as far as I know) any other program. There have been no notices of invasions to my OS.

I am not familiar with Win 8.1 protocols.

All my emails that were stored in Thunderbird in IMAP don't not load into my Thunderbird Account anymore.

Although I do not use IMAP anymore, and have not used IMAP for the past 7 months (only use POP), all of my old IMAP Emails would automatically load in my Thunderbird Email Software. Several days ago all the IMAP emails not longer are there. I only get a message saying: "

"Alert from account harrison@---------com: full IMAP support is NOT enabled for this account"

My question is ... I haven't been using IMAP for the past 7 months, and everyday all my previously old emails from IMAP was stored in Thunderbird. Now they are gone. Can you help me retrieve my emails. Perhaps they're still saved in my Thunderbird IMAP Profile on my hard drive? ??? I need help retrieving them!! Please help,

When composing an e-mail, in the text area I start typing and the size and font is what I desire. If I stop, click anywhere else in the body of the message, it automatically switches to "Fixed width". I have to backspace or select all text to the beginning of the message and select "courier" again to re-select. Sometimes I just need to backspace over properly composed text and resume typing, but if I start typing in a blank area it switches again. Quite annoying.

Yes, I use "courier" because of fixed spacing which allows me to properly space tables. And no, the tables in Thunderbird are horrible. I'm now running 24.5.0

Just upgraded to TB 78 on Windows 10 x64, Build 2004. Noticed two major things:

Issue 1 -

All of the mail folder icons are no longer yellow. Just a stark white with a black edge. I attached an Image of the issue for review.

Issue 2 -

My Message Composition Pane is dark with white letters and most incoming text mail is the same.

I do have some dark colors set up under PC Settings -> Personalization but everything was working perfectly prior to this new release.

I attached Images of the issue for review. Note the "dark haze" over the HTML email.

No add-ons are enabled!

Any help appreciated! Kind of urgent to me.

Thunderbird keeps asking for my password to fetch and send email for the first time each session. I've checked the box asking Password Manager to save my password. When I go to passwords via Options, no passwords have been saved.
