I accidentally dropped my "Bulk" folder in the "Trash" folder. When I tried to remove the folder, it refused to move!

  1. I tried ctrl + Z to undo the last action - failed
  2. I tried dragging and dropping - failed
  3. I tried right-clicking and choosing move - no such option - failed

I tried closing the program, reopening, and repeating steps 1-3 - failed I tried rebooting the computer and repeated steps 1-3 - failed

How can I move the folder back?

Opening the mail I see the date and 3 buttons accept, preliminary and reject (I am not shure about the English buttons) When clicking accept no mail to the invitor is send. What setting is wrong? I am running Windows 10 Home edition. My email account is for a domain I own on Dreamhost. When I click on a subfolder I get the message "Server imap.dreamhost.com has disconnected. The server may have gone down or there may be a network problem." I have my firewall set to allow thunderbird.exe traffic to pass. Any suggestions. I don't have this issue running K-9 on my Andriod phone. (I am reluctant to switch to Thunderbird on my Android phone until I solve this on my PC.

Any suggestions?

created event then about a week later edited event for much later in day, neither was done using thunderbird. Now reminder for event constantly shows for event in original form. Cannot do anything else, have dismissed event but reminder returns after past event. Deleting event does not stop reminder in TB. Event still shows original in calendar, edited version missing. No way to resync to remove, events added after do not show up.

Since I updated to 128.4.1esr filters no longer work good: some emails are left in the main folder and not transferred in the subfolder I'd like and I ordered via filter; other emails are duplicated in the main folder and in the destination folder ;moreover, if I try to modify a filter, the window is so big that the OK button slips under Windows 11 system tray and it's impossible to click; thw window is impossible to resize, nor I can drag it, so the OK button remains invisible under Windows tray bar. I have been using Thunderbird for several years now and am currently using Thunderbird Desktop Version 128.9.2esr Released April 15, 2025, on a MacBook Air Retina 13", using OSMac Sonoma 14.7.5. Office attachments cannot be open directly from an email, but have to be detached first. I have had this problem for some time and I have looked at other posts about this and followed instructions, but the problem persists. Thought I would try again to sort it out. Any help to resolve? After I reinstalled Windows and reinstalled Thunderbird, task reminders no longer work. I create tasks using the New Task button on the Tasks tab with a due date and time in the New Tasks dialog. This used to result in a Reminders window popping up at the scheduled date and time. Now, however, nothing happens. As far as I can tell, all the settings on the new install of Thunderbird are the same as I had before. The screenshot shows what I used to get, and what I would like to get again.

Is some setting required to get a Reminders window?

Desperately in need of assistance. Been using Outlook for decades, but continual issues have forced me to move to another option. Been using Bluemail on my phone, but saw that Thunderbird supposedly functions more like Outlook without being the pain that is Outlook.

So, I was managing 6 different email accounts in Outlook and all were POP3, because I get a lot of client emails and need to store them for legal reasons. I end up with way too much data to keep out on IMAP servers.

Anyway, I installed Thunderbird and setup my personal business email on it as POP3 and that seems to be fine, but I need to also import my PST/OST backup of that account into Thunderbird so that I have access to all of the saved emails/calendar. I see places that tell me it can be done directly in Thunderbird and others that tell me I need a 3rd party app. Does Thunderbird not include an import or conversion option that will let me do it?

If I can get this to work, I will then need to do it for the other 5 accounts, and unfortunately soon, as some of my accounts are nearing their max storage size in IMAP while I try to solve this.

When I create a new event in the calendar, I click on the start day and use the drop-down mini-calendar to pick the right day. Unfortunately, this drop-down shows a misleading view – the first column shows up as Sunday. How can I fix it? Seeing Monday in the first column would be much more natural. Sunday as a first columns is very confusing and leads to miss-setting the date of an event.

My issue : I think my emails have been deleted. Its something like 500mb of content.

I'm on Windows 10; on 128.9.2esr version for Thunderbird.

You see how the path is structured: account@mail.com/inbox/... I moved my mails folders into the folder account@mail.com (instead of account@mail.com/inbox/) Closed thunderbird Restarted thunderbird

All folders at account@mail.com/ disappeared.

I tried to find them. I created a folder named "TestAccountFindThunderbird" I moved account@mail.com/inbox/TestAccountFindThunderbird into account@mail.com/TestAccountFindThunderbird Closed thunderbird Restarted thunderbird "TestAccountFindThunderbird" disappeared as well

and making a research on C:\ drive I managed to find TestAccountFindThunderbird.msf inside the folder at C:\Users\<my_account>\AppData\Local\Temp\MozillaMailnews

At the same place I found also the other things that disappeared from my mail account Health.msf, Apple.msf, Work.msf, Insurances.msf, Bank.msf, ... But they are all .msf files...

I saved them into a backup folder. Then I copy pasted all that content from backup to INBOX.sbd but when I open Thunderbird in a blink they are all removed. I guess its because they are .msf and not actual content.

1) Why when I move a mail folder into account@mail.com/ then the folder disappears/is deleted? 2) Where are my emails? And how do I reimport them? 3) Why do I have traces of them into AppData\Local\Temp\MozillaMailnews?

Thunderbird 128.9.1esr (64-bit) [Linux Mint] retrieves messages from my 4 email accounts (2x gMail & 2x Yahoo-based). It then displays each email retrieved TWICE. In the past, Left-Clicking on Unified Inbox | Properties then the [Update] button would "single-up" the list into a 1-for-1 relationship. I then sort my mail MANUALLY into local folders or delete unwanted in order to keep my inbox "zero'd".

After my recent Linux Mint 22.1 update, this no longer works and I need to close and re-open Thunderbird to get any "ghost" messages that I haven't sorted or deleted to disappear.

I am sure that I have something configured incorrectly but I can't seem to find it. None of the 4 accounts is "aware of" or forwarding to or retrieving from any of the others - they are totally independent. Yet I get duplicated emails from all 4. Using Browser-based mail client, none of them have duplicated stuff anywhere that I can find.

What documentation should I provide? Thanks.
