Shortly after the 115.10.1 update, I've noticed that emails are downloading, but either only a few show in the Inbox or none at all. I've never had this problem with Thunderbird before. Is there some invisible spam/junk folder that I'm unaware of?

I'm using POP with Dreamhost. Is anyone experiencing these disappearing emails?

Without having done any active change: For some time TB seems to not have passed on mails from my alternative mail account. I cannot seem to find the previously functioning gmx account in my settings.

For two days now I do not receive any mails at all. Apparently I can send them, though.

I restarted the programme and tried in safe mode, to no avail.

I am a simple creature, please advise or enquire in a manner an exhausted non-tech person may be able to follow.

After the latest update, Thunderbird does not open. On line instructions say to erase some programs in it's file location. Did that, and the program booted. However, today, it will not open again. Can you fix this issue with another release, or should I try to go back to the previous release? If so, how to go back to the previous release without losing all my set up? It is not practical to have to erase those files every time I want to check mail. Thanks, JT King jtking@zoho.com Catdoctor12@gmail.com

Resetting Thunderbird after Cox.net e-mail has transitioned to Yahoo.com e-mail

Cox.net is transitioning from in-house e-mail to e-mail handled by Yahoo.com. Our cox.net addresses are supposed to (and apparently have) transitioned so that they still work, but are processed through pop.mail.yahoo.com.

It is my turn to be transitioned and I have been successful in doing so to the extent that I can send and receive using my address(es) ...@cox.net through Yahoo web mail and on my Samsung phone. I have not, however, been successful in either sending or receiving mail using Thunderbird on my desktop.

I have been successfully using Thunderbird with POP settings for years with four different cox.net addresses. [I'm currently just trying to get two of them working -- unsuccessfully.]

I am using Windows 10 on a Dell desktop. I am using Thunderbird 115.9.0 (32 bit). I have reset the POP and SMTP settings as directed by Yahoo. One of the errors I receive is: "Error with Account .... Sending of password for ...@cox.net did not succeed. Mail server pop.mail.yahoo.com responded (SYS/TEMP) Server Error - Please try again later." It then asks me to retry or enter a new password. I have checked the passwords saved by Thunderbird and they are correct.

I suspect, that with all the Cox accounts being newly routed through Yahoo servers that I am not the only Thunderbird user experiencing this problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it likely to help if I uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird? Would I loose all my mail, etc. if I did that? [I did the delete and add account in my phone and that was successful, but I wasn't concerned about losing mail there as it is all on my desktop.]

Thanks in advance. billb1111

Already invested time creating some html code for email signature on thunderbird. Wanted to create something prepared for dark modes on IOS. Everything was fine until I detected on IOS (dark mode)some white rectangles outside my email signature code. It´s a problem that I cannot solve because it´s outside my code, and I´m wondering if you are already aware of this issue.

In case you want to test my code on a Thunderbird HTML email signature and see the result on an iPhone (dar mode), you can get it here: https://codeshare.io/dekBnR

I have had a few emails that did not show up in the inbox listing, so the message count at the top indicated more messages than were listed. Doing a search showed them, and by moving them from the search results to another folder, and then re-searching and moving them back, caused most of them to appear. But not all - I still have a message count of 20, but only 19 listed, see photo 1. Photo 2 shows the hidden email (from Barry Chandler). So the email is there, it's just not visible!

I received notification that my mailbox was full but I can't delete anything from the inbox, sent items or trash. It appears to delete but then it comes back. I've gone through the process of menu, help, profile, mail, trash but it doesn't seem to fix the problem. I've tried updating and it says it's updated. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

I want to prepare emails in advance (in the Outbox folder?) and have Thunderbird send them later, at a time that I specify when I prepare them. Thunderbird downloads and duplicates my mail all the time. It's clogging up my computer. I know that I have a 50Gb mailbox and I have almost 200Gb of files on my disk, so I think it downloads e-mail from time to time.

My Thunderbird has been working properly for about 30 years, but now refuses to open. Message received says 'Authentication failed'. This happens repeatedly (for at least 20-30 times) and appears to relate to my password. It suggests 'Retry' or 'Enter new password'. The 'Retry' repeats as before so I check the Saved Passwords and enter the one saved. I get the same message. I am using Version 115 and have been for some time.

Could this be related to a change of Profile? There must be a way to reset the password? I have checked all the settings and no errors appear, all settings confirmed.

I have thought about a Recovery Mode and seem to remember seeing a message that I do have that. I just don't know how to access it.

I recently changed ISP carriers (from Network Solutions to Intermedia). The transfer was slow but everything worked just fine. Then, a few weeks later, I received a notice from "ExQuilla" asking me to sign up & pay, which I did not do. Monday morning, my Thunderbird email was frozen. I was able to go to the ISP's online portal to access my email and still can but I prefer Thunderbird which I have been using for decades. Mozilla has always been free other than donations.
