Will there ever be an option in the calendar to schedule links to video conferencing platforms like zoom or teams or google meet?

Lot's of other 'smart' calendars have this as an option. For example, when I use google calendar on a browser there is a zoom plugin so when I schedule an appointment it automatically generates a meeting invite for the attendees and put the meeting on my zoom app.

I know that this is probably reliant more on the companies [Google, Microsoft, Zoom] to make an extension for this, but it would be great if this could be implemented in the future.

Hello from one of my mails I can`t see the external issues. I gave permission to show all content in the mail, and that was stored in the list permission to show all external content, but still the content is not shown. Can you please help me, and tell me what I can do so I can see all the external issues in the mail.

Without having done any active change: For some time TB seems to not have passed on mails from my alternative mail account. I cannot seem to find the previously functioning gmx account in my settings.

For two days now I do not receive any mails at all. Apparently I can send them, though.

I restarted the programme and tried in safe mode, to no avail.

I am a simple creature, please advise or enquire in a manner an exhausted non-tech person may be able to follow.

An IMAP mail system is configured on a server running Debian 12. While there are never any problems via webmail, reception and sending work occasionally via Thunderbird 115.9. Even in "Troubleshooting Mode" it doesn't work. The server has good hardware characteristics and there are no applications that can slow it down, nor do I think it is a firewall problem or incorrect parameters otherwise it would never work. The error is related to timeout reaching the server. What can I check to find out where the problem is?

Junk, Bin, Deleted confusion in email account There is confusion in Settings regarding Junk,Spam, Bin,or Deleted. When setting up Spam checks it refers to Junk folder where I have customarily used Spam folder and or Deleted/ Bin folder options which am now not able to set in the options available. MacOS Sonoma 14.4 seems to have broken a number of apps. AFter updating to Sonoma 14.4 I experienced a great number of crashes with Thunderbird, so I completely uninstalled Thunderbird and removed all traces of plists, Application preferences, everything, reinstalled Thunderbird, and added back the two email accounts I use with it. It now takes up to 30 seconds to start up Thunderbird, after which it happily no longer crashes, but obviously the startup time is unacceptable. I experience the same problem with Typora, and the developers there informed me that they believe the problem is with a Sonoma change that broke WebKit. I don't know if Thunderbird still uses Gecko or if the new version is WebKit. Please let me know if other Sonoma users have reported this problem or if it's just my system.

Already invested time creating some html code for email signature on thunderbird. Wanted to create something prepared for dark modes on IOS. Everything was fine until I detected on IOS (dark mode)some white rectangles outside my email signature code. It´s a problem that I cannot solve because it´s outside my code, and I´m wondering if you are already aware of this issue.

Thunderbird auto updated to 115.10.1 and now it is behaving strangely.

1. The Message Filter has "Junk" at the bottom of the list of filters and anything that is not sent to a folder gets sent to the Junk folder. Instead all the junk is going to the Inbox.

2. Folders that have new email show up in blue highlighted folder as they should. But if I select those emails and read them, they remain highlighted but without the blue color.

3. Sometimes when I delete an email after reading, it deletes for a moment and then returns to the folder as unread. Multiple attempts to delete fail.

Hello! I am facing the issue with time zone translations. Here is what I do. First, I create event on web-interface of the google calendar. That account is linked to TB's calendar. This calendar has settings for my timezone as in the first screenshot, that is GMT+3 for Kyiv, Ukraine. It is actually GMT+2 + daylight saving hour in effect. Country is also set to Ukraine. Next, my Windows 11 system is set to set time and timezone automatically, region - Ukraine. It displays UTC+2 Helsinki, Kyiv,... I guess it's Windows settings display quirk, because time is correct and WSL console shows

My TB's calendar is set to have system's timezone as in 3rd screenshot.

Now if I see my event in TB calendar, it is placed one hour later, say 9 am event starts at 10. So reminders also come hour later. Also strange thing is that event properties in TB show correct time like 9:00 till 10:40, but for some strange timezone Europe/Zaporozhye, as in 4th picture.

However, if I set TB's calendar manually to Europe/Kiev (which should be Kyiv, but that's another story), then events are shifted hour up to their right place, 9 am. So this is my issue: when I set calendar forcibly to Kyiv timezone, it does translate it right. When I ask calendar to rely on system's timezone, which indeed is also Kyiv, then I get one hour behind.

Hello, For some reason, over the past couple of months I have been searching for varied emails and they are missing! At one point, I found that some had been put in an archive folder (that I did NOT set up) and they were recent emails. I removed them from the folder, placed them back in the regular inbox and deleted that folder. When I could not find another very important series of emails today, after searching numerous ways, I looked in the server and missing emails are there. I did look at a number of email threads where other people reported similar problems... but couldn't figure out what applied to my situation and how to fix this. To show a specific example, I attached two images ... the first is my Thunderbird email account that shows one Email only on Feb 18, 2024. The Juno server image shows 7 emails on that same date, four which were important contracts that were sent to me. Can you please help me locate and retrieve these and other missing emails? OS is Win 10 64bit TB is 78.4.0 (32 bit) (is that a conflict?)

For NO known reason TB had to be restarted. Opened, BUT only one folder, NOT the Inbox, is displayed. Cannot see NOR access the Inbox, nor any folder (none displayed). Restarting TB produces the same result every time.

If searched any - all TB headers / options. HELP & support yield no clue(s) nor solution(s).

I have used local Thunderbird folders for my Gmail accounts for a long time, and have now started using Protonmail (via Proton Bridge to Thunderbird) as well. Sending and receiving Protonmail via TB works fine.

I want to keep my single local inbox, sent folders etc. I set up a filter on the TB Protonmail account to copy all incoming emails to the local inbox. Works fine. I have also configured TB's Protonmail account to copy any emails created in TB's Protonmail account to the local 'sent' folder. All good.

I now want to get any emails sent via the Protonmail app to be copied to my local 'TB sent' folder - but have failed to get this to work.

If I create a TB filter to run on the Protonmail IMAP 'sent' folder, it CHANGES the separate TB inbox filter from running on the IMAP inbox, to run on the IMAP 'sent' folder!!!

I want to have two separate filters for Protonmail IMAP - one for 'inbox' and one for 'sent' - but they keep resetting so that both run either on the IMAP inbox or 'sent'. I thought filters were separate entities, but clearly not.

Am I missing something, or have I stumbled across a bug?

I just enabled cookies in order to fix a connection problem with Google and Xfinity. While going through the process, I noticed a Facebook web address was pre-filled, and I immediately deleted it before realizing "block" and "allow" are both on that same page. Can someone please paste that link here so I can put it back where it was?

When I'm writing a new email, I receive several copies of it in my inbox without explanation. It's a recent situation and I can't find a solution. Can you help? Thank you. freiroma@sapo.pt

Has anyone seen a message similar to this when trying to attach a document, usually a pdf to an email?

O:\XXXXXXXXXX.pdf could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences.

Also, when someone send me an image file, I can't open it directly from the email. I have to download it and then open it. This isn't as big of an issue as the above, but I thought I'd ask it too.

Windows 10 Thunderbird 115.10.0

I have an issue with using newgroups via NNTP server in Thunderbird. News only load during startup of the program. Whenever the option Get Messages is chosen later, or when it is automatically run by the program, the process seems to get stuck in a loading state. In this state neither can new messages be read (the headers seem to be there and are shown, but the body of the message isn't), nor can new messages be sent (message sending gets stuck in status "Assembling Message")

This has been the case for a few releases already, and is currently present on 115.10.0 (64bit)
