it use to work. now it does not. have tried everything i can find published to no avail. also tried various setting combinations and am tired after a lot of time spent without success. the error message is below:

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: Connection refused - ELNK003_101 - https://postmaster-earthlink.vadesecure.com/outbound_error_codes/#_101.

Hello again...This is a repeat of my earlier problem, but I sent the wrong image. Just to keep the thread, I added a previous image. Last error was referring to a bad rendering of my Manitoba Hydro online Bill... Now, how can I remit payment with this image??? progeny was "from mi06-ssvc.dcs.int.inet (LHLO mi06.dcs.int.inet) (10.0.141.211) by cds226.dcs.int.inet with LMTP; Wed, 16 Nov 2022 09:51:30 -0700 (MST)... see attached images.

Hi! I love that you are always updating Thunderbird but it's a lot of work to have to navigate through advanced settings to trick Thunderbird into running plugins that suddenly become "outdated" frequently.

Can we please have a regular setting we can turn on so "run outdated plugins" no matter the version number?

Many plugin creators don't update their plugins, which are just fine and sometimes do very simple things and work perfectly well even if not tested.

Take it as a suggestion, of course.

Is there a way to format the phone number field either automatically with a default format type, or all numbers at once, in all contacts?

For example, I want 5551235555 formatted as (555) 123-5555 or even just 555-123-5555. The numbers I have now are mixed formats and it is driving me nuts.

Not sure if you did a recent update to Thunderbird but my setting changed, took me a while to get things working again. Today I wanted to edit an address but after right clicking on it to bring up the edit option, it didn't work..? When I open "Write" I have the address book open on the left and could always edit the addresses. What's happened...?

Yesterday I was asked tio change my password, which I did on a tablet I use occasionally. Now i cannot log in to my main PC with with new password. Please advise, copying my wife's email mtaylorsoc@gmail.com

I changed servers, but have continued to use the email address old server (@hughes.net). Today after the new server (commspeed.net) came back on line after being down for a day, I could not receive or sent emails via the old server address.

How do I change to a new email address using Commspeed.net without losing everything in Thunderbird?

Is there an Android App for Thunderbird? I have been using the Windows 10 version for all my emails, but now I would like to use it on my phone/tablet.

I had my email connected a week ago until I reached out to support about a certificate error. I don't get many important emails, so I didn't notice till today that I was not connected to the server. When I clicked on any folder, "The IMAP server imap.mail.com does not seem to support encrypted passwords. if you just set up this account, please try changing to 'Normal Password' as the 'Authentication method' in the 'Account Set..."

So I did this.

Following the message I saw said something like, "these folders do not exist on the server." And instantly, all of my 50+ folders were gone. Is there some way to recover these? I have not, as of yet, closed Thunderbird.

If I have to load from backup, I will be ok to do so, but I would love it if I could avoid that somehow. Also, how do I prevent this from happening again once I do a load from backup?

My "old" email account "smeyer@kc.rr.com" has been inactivated, and is now "stephenmeyer3@me.com". How can I ask the community a question and receive an answer that is sent to my new email?

All Emails received have thousands of unwanted text added to the bottom of the original message. Includes Microsoft Text, text from numerous companies, information of extraneous text that was not wanted.

Each email takes a large amount of time to view, due to the massive amount of text.

How do I get rid of this unwanted text ?.

My Thunderbird is completely updated. Since July I have found it impossible to consistently send emails. I checked my outgoing settings and they are fine. I have no anti-virus (I'm using a Mac). When I turn off the firewall, I can send one email out, sometimes two, then they will no longer go out. I tried deleting Thunderbird from the firewall, then adding it again. Nothing doing. This occurs with both email addresses I use.

Should I remove Thunderbird from my computer and start over? Or is it a lost cause?

Today, October 9, 2022 I clicked on an update for Thunderbird. Now I can't find it anywhere on my computer. It says all shortcuts no longer refer to the account or whatever term they use. Its gone, nothing. I've lost all my emails, everything. Anyway to get anything back?

Hi I've changed ISP from virgin to NOW broadband all was ok but now I am receiving emails but can not send any I've checked rechecked and checked again the settings with GMX settings and everything is as it should but it won't allow any emails to be sent.

Any suggestions please?
