All of a suden..... When I open my Thunderbird mail. I have NO junk mail in the folder.... But... my I phone is loaded.... The mail is still on both and working. What's up. I need to see the junk mail in my mail on my mac in Thunderbird as well as my iPhone

I have checked the account settings. Because Thunderbird stopped working I started using Blue Mail and it has the same account settings. When I check for new messages I get this error message Sending of password for user ... @att.net did not succeed. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: Server error - Please try again later. It does not matter if my VPN is on or not. I have restarted the computer many times and I try Thunderbird after the restart and I get the same error message. I have double checked with ATT and my server settings are correct.

Hi, I use TB 91.5.0 in Ubuntu 21.10. My system is always up to date.

Since 21.04 and for many months now, TB exhibits a strange behavior.

When I compose a new message, then send it (the window closes automatically, as it is the standard), the colour dot in the TB icon on the dash doesn't disappear, as was the normal. It stays there. So, after 8 (for example) new messages composed, 8 dots on the icon (see picture).

This would be no serious, if other things didn't happen in the same time. Many (but not all) times I click on the TB icon on the dash to bring TB in front of me to work. This will not happen. The only way is to press the "win" key, see all open programs minimized and select TB. Other problem: if a right click TB icon, I get this window (see second pic): TB believes 8 windows are open (which are not) and nevertheless I cant click to select anything on this window. Its just there, un-responsible. The only way to send it away, is to press win key again. Finally, if TB is the last open program (something that happens every time I shut down all programs to switch off pc) it will not come in front of me even with win key.

Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks, N.

Today I switched on my PC, clicked on my Thunderbird Icon, and got nothing except a pop-up window headed XUL RUNNER and the following message :- X Error:Platform version 91.4.0 is not compatible with

min Version>=91.4.1
max Version<=91.4.1

The only other item in the window was a button labelled OK. Pressing this merely closed the window I have made no changes to Thunderbird, and I have been using it without problems for many years. But now I cannot get access to mail in and out, archives etc... NOTHING. How do I solve this problem? This has not affected the Thunderbird Account on my laptop, but I have no acess to the archives or my full address book.

All my folders disappeared when Thunderbird automatically upgraded from release 78.14.0 to 91.4.1. This is a real disaster, as I had a lot of very important information stored in those folders!! I've tried some of the solutions already presented in Support, but each one applies to a different, earlier, version of TBird and they have all lead me down a blind alley.

I would be VERY grateful if someone could kindly show me how to recover my folders (unless, shudder), they are gone forever. 

I'm not very familiar with Thunder bird, so will need step-by-step 'how to' do it. I will be VERY VERY grateful for anyone who can help me with this!! Thanks and gratitude.

Hello, with the move to Thunderbird 91.4 for Mac, my attachments are opened in a temporary folder instead of in downloads. This makes things much more cumbersome, and I have also lost much work which I did on such a file that I saved, but it was deleted by my machine. Please return to the previous settings, or suggest a way to change that manually. (I've seen that some users asked for the new way, but it is very annoying to others, like myself), thanks, Shaul

The new version of Thunderbird opens a window when an event in the calendar is opened (double clicked). Then I have to choose to edit it. This introduces an extra step in the process, apparently for no good reason. Why open a window? What can you do with it? It's a useless step. I open several events per day and it has become annoying, enough so that I am considering a change in applications. Please, get rid of that extra step. Also, it took me 15 minutes to determine how to leave a message.

Hi,

I've been facing some issues by sending emails with Thunderbird, followed every single step from the article https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cannot-send-messages, updated to the latest thunderbird version, check the SMTP outgoing server config, configured a new different SMTP server, verified if the right server was configured, deleted the SMTP password, uninstall and delete the root folder in C drive but still unable to send emails, i read that it could be a windows firewall issue so turned it of together with the antivirus and then tried to send emails, also in the windows firewall configures a rule allowing all outgoing traffic through port 25, 465 and 577, tried by enable the less secure app option in gmail account and actually i don't have new ideas about this issue, so you are my last option team, any idea or recommendation about how to fix this issue. Please find attached the current configuration of my thunderbird client

Periodically I'll download several emails at the same time from multiple people, but one of the email's content completely overwrites the content of the other emails downloaded at the same time. This is not repeatable in any way I can initiate; just happens every so often (e.g., ~once a month). It happened to my wife's Thunderbird email today - which is a first that I know of. Any idea what causes this? We download from Gmail if that matters.

IMAP sync deleted all emails

There is an older couple I assist. They couldn't sign in to their mail with Thunderbird so I assisted them with that and as Thunderbird syncs, it shows only a few emails. Before closing and opening Thunderbird again I make a copy of the directory in the file explorer. There was an Inbox file that was over 100 MB in size. After I launched Thunderbird again it either disappeared or was only a few KB.

Is there any way to retrieve all the emails from this Inbox file?

I don't have a screenshot of the folder but this one seems to match the situation

The longer story of the situation is the couple went to a computer class and for some reason the teacher wanted them to use Gmail as their mail application. I have no clue why as Thunderbird on the PC and Mail on iOS had worked very well. She had Gmail retrieve from their mail service via POP but left the Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server checkbox unchecked. So they have gone from having a decade or two of emails to a year or two. I have the directory copied and am hoping the emails can be added.
