I've been using Thunderbird for over 25 years and have always loved it. Recently, my emails are all messed up. When I receive, there are 3 sections: the top shows the From, Subject, and Date as it is supposed to do. The middle section is the problem: it shows all kinds of stuff I'm not interested in, such as Message ID, In reply to, References, User agent, X-Authority-Analysis (which is full of nonsense), and below that all kinds of stuff that makes no sense at all (not English). And the 3rd section is where I respond. How do I get rid of that middle section? All I want is what the writer wrote and what I should reply to. That's it. What happened to T-Bird?

I had 755 emails in a label in one of my two gmail accounts. I linked by gmail accounts in thunderbird and selected 'copy' of the label from one account to the other. However, only 359 have transferred. I've tried again and nothing has changed. Its made a big mess of both my gmail accounts.

As of today Cox is moving all email services to Yahoo. I have been using Thunderbird for Cox.net email. I have about 40 existing folders under cox.net. Yahoo now has Cox.net and is providing my new emails so I still have the same email address and can access it through webmail. What is the best way to transition this from the old Cox cox.net to the new Yahoo cox.net on Thunderbird and keep all existing folders? Thank You

I am trying to download your program, before I am allowed to select what I want, your software decides which version I need. It then wont let me install it because I need windows 7 or later. Your software has seen I am running windows 10 and downloads what it thinks is the right version but then wont let me install it. Every time I try to get the the page displaying the various programs , it is covered up with a page asking for money so I cant see it. Very poor. How do I get round this.

hello, how can i copy my Linux mint Thunderbird profiles over to windows 10? i get a copy alarm "can not copy symbolic link" when i try to copy the .thunderbird directory to my dos formatted usb drive. i do see that the linux profile directory has both imapmail and ImapMail directories. i believe this is the issue. when i am copying from linux to the dos usb drive, the error window askes to skip/cancel the directory it is troubled by. as both imapmail and ImapMail have the same size and file count, can i just skip one of the directories? is either better on the dos side? thank you for your time. My GMail account is approaching the 15GB limit and so I will need to migrate my email from one Gmail account to another, specifying a date range. range (i.e., any email sent before June 2015). Can Thunderbird help me to do that? If so, what is the process I need to go through?

I downloaded. I donated. Then a screen come up with an envelope and some love hearts saying "one more step". But there is no indication as to what that step is or how to take that step! How does one install this program?

I had to reinstall Windows and now I can't reinstall Thunderbird. It says my password is incorrect to my primary email server but it is correct. I use yahoo mail but it is showing the host as att. All of my contact and distribution groups are there.

Going back many versions now I have noticed Thunderbird fails to download new email messages as they arrive on the mail server inbox or junk folders, until now I have lived with it but I need a solution. If I click on any folder like Inbox or Junk the most recent messages are downloaded for that folder. I have set Server Setting to: 1)Check for new messages at startup (which seems to work) 2) Allow immediate server notifications when new messages arrive (does not seem to work) In the past IMAP did not require periodic checking for new messages, as the server received them Thunderbird displayed them, so I have not set Check for new messages every X minutes. In the past many mail servers did not like auto checking more frequently than every 15mins (not sure if this still applies these days). Are there any other mail settings in Thunderbird that may prevent Auto Download of new messages as they arrive. I have the latest Thunderbird ie 115.10.1 (32 bit) Supernova I have four mail account all on different servers same problem with all. Last time I used MSOutlook (which I don't use anymore) it worked fine so I'm leaning toward this being a Thunderbird issue. Windows firewall set to allow Thunderbird Router set for DMZ to machine just in case. ;>) Am i missing a new Thunderbird setting I cannot find?

Hi, I have upgraded my computer and Thunderbird, however only the INBOX folder is loading.

I have followed the instructions to migrate the folders from the 'Profile Folder' on the old computer, the data has transferred but is not organised as folders, as on the old computer and of course on the main server.

I don't mind if all the data is not on my computer so long as the Folders are there, empty or not but organised in as they are on the main server.

I'm wondering if I selected an incorrect setting while setting up the account within Thunderbird on the new computer.

I'm moving from win 10 to 11 in new PC. I downloaded Thunderbird. I have hidden files showing in new PC so I found where it should be. When I look for the Thunderbird I downloaded it's not there in roaming...so I can't move my profile into the new computer. I have it on a drive read to install, but it's not showing up.

On Sunday 2nd June I removed and then reloaded Thunderbird, which ceased to function the previous day.. Now I can't send but can receive e mails, and it has lost my entire e mail address list. I need this list to be restored asap, please, so I need advice.

A brand new windows 11 laptop. I've installed TB 115.9.0 (64-bit) and want to migrate a profile from another machine to this one.

When I try and do anything with the profiles (about:profiles) I can see the profiles TB thinks it has (several now after my mucking around), but in every case, if I click on the Open Folder button I get the message

C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\7654blah.Default User is unavailable. If the location is on this PC, make sure the device or drive is connected or the disk is inserted,.....

I have tried manually adding the folder it can't open into the profile directory, no change. I have tried creating new profile with the profile manager, but no folder is ever created by the application itself.

I'm out of ideas.

I moved from 115.10.1 32 bit to 115.10.2 64 bit. What the hell happened to everything? No file menu standard bar, tools menu moved from top left to hidden menu drop down on top right (you should NEVER move controls from one side to the other), no way to delete all marked as junk? This is unusable.
