I recently changed my B.T. internet package because I couldn't afford the high costs anymore and now I've not been able to do anything on Thunderbird emails since 13 September. It's the 20th today. As an O.A.P. I don't really understand all the jargon connected with computers.

Deinstalacja usuwa tylko program ale po ponownej instalacji wszystko wraca do poprzednich ustawień. Proszę o pomoc. Dziękuję

My hard drive had to be replaced and now I cannot recover my Thunderbird Email. Keeps asking for a password but won't accept it. Asks for password for "mobile.charter.net" I think I have totally screwed up all the settings in trying to find a solution. I checked with my internet provider but no help. My computer broke down a few months ago and when I put Thunderbird onto my new one, it only retrieved my mails from 2021 when actually they went back to about 2013. I now have another computer and I wondered if, when I install Thunderbird on this one, is there any way I can retrieve my early inbox and sent items and if possible my drafts?

I've had my e-mail set-up on our pc for many years. I also now a laptop and was hoping I could access my e-mail from both, like not have them open at the same time but if I'm in the kitchen on the laptop or in the spare room when on the pc. I installed Thunderbird on the laptop, but I get this message: Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, user name or password.

Is is not possible to have it set up on 2 computers? If it is, can someone help please? I apologize, I'm older and pretty technology challenged :(. So if they could put instructions in an e-mail it would be greatly appreciated!! Not a big emergency.

Help! I have been stuck on 60.9.1. I tried to upgrade many years ago and lost all my past emails and folders. A search at the time said there was no way to get them back so I reinstalled 60 and have lived there ever since. A couple of weeks ago Google mail changed their security protocols and dropped POP and 60.9 apparently can not read IMAP. I love Thunderbird and would prefer to stay but I don't want to loose all my past emails and folders. So, I would like to upgrade to the latest stable version. Is there a path that won't dump my history? I have read many posts on here but still can't find the path to being current. Can I simply install the latest version or do I have to install in stages. If in stages what is the order of version to install and should I stop at each version to check/test something before moving to the next install?

Everytime I install an update, I loose all the entries in my address book and all my archives files. I am currently at 91.11.0 (32-bit). This has happened for several months of updates.

I made the mistake up upgrading to the latest beta, not realizing it would convert my datafile to a different format and you can't go backward. I have done recovery over the years, but all the help refers to the old formats. Opening TB just causes it to hang. I have a large thunderbird file with a lot of files. I thought maybe a folder that I use a lot was too large so I tried splitting it in 2 but it has been unable to sync those since I moved them. Instead my whole computer hung and it turned out 400+MB was being taken by a folder which gets created when a folder can't finish compressing, but I had no choice but to delete that because my computer wouldn't function. In the past when a folder wasn't working right I would delete the folder index file and it would rebuilt the index and re-built that folder. Now all of my folders have mozmsgs but only some have sbd's. And the new folder isn't even there, although it's showing in my TB app when it opens.

I need to know what types of files I should delete in order to have my folders re-sync to the server.

I backed up the thunderbird profile as per video instructions to external drive. On the new pc I installed thunderbird and copied to the roaming folder the filed previously copied from old pc. After doing it and opening the thunderbird, it doesn't open as the old program, it keeps wanting me to set up and account and when I go to the thunderbird program I find 4 different profile names and i guess it correspond with the times I have tried copying the profile back into the new pc. Can any one shed a light on this for me please.
