I have successfully enjoyed having my Google calendar syncing with Thunderbird on four different computers (3 of them Linux, 1 Windows) for several years. Whenever I'd receive an invitation from Outlook or Google Calendar in my Gmail inbox, I could click an Accept button, and the appointment would be added to my Google calendar, and it would synchronize just fine. (There was a problem if the invitation was updated, but that's a separate issue. I was happy.)

Recently, the Accept button is no longer displayed on invitation emails, and there is a message, "No writable calendars are configured for invitations, please check the calendar properties." I noticed it starting with Thunderbird 78.7.1 but cannot say whether it existed before, as I don't receive a lot of invitations.

I have tried disconnecting all Thunderbird-related access from my calendar on the Google account settings, removed and re-installed Provider for Google Calendar (version 78.0.1, last updated March 1, 2021), and then re-authorizing access to the calendar through the dialogs when the calendar is added. I can see events on the Google calendar from Thunderbird, but the Accept button is still unavailable. Are there any suggestions what else I might try?

Ich habe Mozilla Thunderbird installiert (Windows 10) und mit meinem Konto von t-online (...@magenta.de) verknüpft. Das Empfangen und Senden von E-Mail funktioniert sehr gut. Was nicht funktioniert, ist die Verbindung zu dem t-online Kalender und Adressbuch. Ich habe schon verschiedene Möglichkeiten ausprobiert, aber bis jetzt bin ich nicht zum Erfolg gekommen. Jetzt ist die Community meine letzte Möglichkeit. Ich hoffe, dass wir gemeinsam das Problem lösen können. Danke für die Unterstützung!

I have two calendars - one local, one network. I want the network calendar to be the default for entry of new events. I keep selecting the network calendar in the calendar list pane, but the selection keeps reverting to the local calendar. How can I set the network calendar as the default, and have it remain the default thereafter, so that I don't have to constantly re-select the network calendar?

1. How do I know if my calendar is saved to the cloud? 2. How do I access the cloud to retrieve a calendar if needed? 3. Do I first need the Lightning add-on? If so, which one? The first one on the list is simply marked "Lightning", but a warning reads: "This add-on is not compatible with your version of Thunderbird." I have the current TB version 78.9.0 4. Is there a way of increasing all day events to more than 5 events on any single day? Any event over 5 all day events simply disappears. Thanks for any help!

My thunderbird calendar is getting updated when I add something to my Google calendar on my cell phone but my Thunderbird calendar will not update my Google calendar on my cell phone.

I want to associate Thunderbird Calendar with iCal or Google Calendar files so that when I, for example, book an appointment online and it offers those files to update my calendar, it will correctly populate Thunderbird? I'm not sure if either of those is compatible with Thunderbird.

I want Google calendar to be my default in Thunderbird. I have it synched, and it works. However, every time I enter an event in my calendar I have to choose Google because it defaults to "Home". I'd like to change it. I'm running Thunderbird 78.9.0., so there is no "Lightning" add-on ... I'm guessing it's now built in. I do have the Provider for Google Calendar enabled.

I'm using Thunderbird 87.0b3 and DavMail 5.5.1-3299 on Manjaro Linux 21.0. DavMail is using EWS protocol. In the O365 Web interface, the calendar invites show as below for example, with HTML link for "Join Webex Meeting" preserved:

The highlight for "Today" is a light bluish color that does not stand out to me - I'd like to change the highlight to something a bit more obvious - a deeper blue, or even more distinct by highlighting the entire "day" rather than just the header. So I got into "Config. editor" panel with a message to be very careful. Here I got lost. I do not understand the following, could someone be more specific PLEASE HELP.

My Mozilla Thunderbird calendar syncs with my GMail calendar and also includes some holiday dates. It has just gone completely blank - no entries from any of the calendars. I've tried synchronizing it, but it says "no messages to download". What's gone wrong? I've seen the replies to other similar questions which say go to Options Advanced but I can't see an Advanced option in my Options. Thanks.

Installation of Thunderbird 78.6.1 disabled Lightning Calendar connection with Google. Provider for google Calendar is operational, No Lightning updates are compatible with this version (I understand Lightning might be included in the Tb download (?), but the only solution was to reinstall Thunderbird 78.6.0 and then all was well again. Help Please. Or is this subject for a bug report?

As I am a complete ██████ when it comes to managing my time, it helps me to have the calendar jump to my face upon startup.

I previously had it more or less working, but after a crash and complete re-install I can't remember how I did it.

Launching Thunderbird upon system startup isn't a problem, but, in the command line, what should come after thunderbird ?

I of course tried "thunderbird -calendar", which does nothing, and scouted the web high and low, to no avail.

There *must* be a way, as Thunderbird remembers the tab that was last active, but I cannot find either where this remembrance is store nor how to spoof it.

Does anyone here have any idea ?

So many issues starting from a simple problem. My phone and my webmail are syncing my hotmail account. I want them to also since with my Thunderbird calendar on my laptop. I downloaded tbSync and Provider for CalDAV add-ons but couldn't seem to get either of them to work. I am unable to download Lightning because they don't seem to have one for my version of Thunderbird, 78.9.0. I've managed to find my .ics address of my webmail (hotmail) and put that in, but it keeps flipping back to READ ONLY, and won't let me edit any entries. Even when I edit entries on my webmail, my Thunderbird calendar duplicates everything and adds a whole bunch of "Private Appointment" listings that I have no idea what they are, they're not anything I've ever entered. This is so confusing! Such a simple goal, with a seemingly endless series of issues standing in the way. Can anyone help me, please?

I am using Thunderbird 78.7.1 (64bit) under Ubuntu. I would like to sync my WebDAV calendar with Thunderbird Calendar. I have configured the calendar via its IPv6 address. In the calendar config, I enter the address: https://[2a02:908:1341:xxxx:xxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxf]:5006/path/path/ ("xxxx" and "path" being replacements for privacy reasons).

There is an exclamation mark behind the calendar name in the calendar overview taht shows the error message when hovering over it: "The calendar xyz is currently not available." (translated from German "Der Kalender xyz ist momentan nicht verfügbar").

When clicking on "Kalender synchronisieren" (sync calendar), I get the attached screenshots: Nothing happens if I click on "Sicherheits-Ausnahmeregel bestätigen" (confirm security exception rule) or "Zertifikat herunterladen" (download certificate). The button is pressed and greyed out, but no further action happens. I can click on "cancel" (Abbrechen).

Port 5006 is reachable via telnet and its IPV6 address.

My questions: Is it allowed to enter an IPv6 address in the calendar config? What may be the reason for dealing with the certificate, having no reaction of Thunderbird?

OK - if I make entries in my Google Calendar they get entered into my Tbird Calendar no issues. However, if I make and entry in my Tbird Calendar it appears that it is not being forwarded to my Goggle Calendar. I was able to do an import that uploaded correctly but since I use Tbird as my email program would prefer to use Tbird Calendar - is this feature not supported or is there a settings change needed to accomodate this functionality. How to make Google Calendar default calendar in Thunderbird?

With previous versions one year ago I managed to make my Thunderbirth to accept invitations in my Google calendar directly using this method. This however is not possible any more with the new update.

If I get an event that has a bullet-list in it, it doesn't show up correct.

If I get an event with a link to Teams for instance, the link isn't clickable.

If I change an event, use "Save and Close", and then close Thunderbird and reopen it, the changes have disappeared. This started yesterday (1/13/21). Not sure why it's happening.

I believe I had solved this problem in an older version of T-bird but I don't recall how I did it (or what extension I might have used).

I prefer to have meeting reminders come to me via Email instead of the pop-up, but that option isn't available. How might I enable or add this functionality?
