I changed my password for Greenby/Plusnet today. Now Thunderbird is unable to connect to them. The password is correct as I can enter website directly. No problems before change. Grateful for help.

Should I reinstall?

I use Thunderbird on my desktop and since early June, I have not been able to receive any new messages but I can still send. Everything works fine on webmail (Yahoo) and phone (Samsung Galaxy), it's just my desktop which is affected . I asked Duck AI about this and this is what I got...

I tried the solutions offered without success.

Sending of a message failed because the Outgoing server (SMTP) send@xtra.co.nz failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections.' This has happened irregularly over the last 2 months or so, even with a complete shutdown of all devices, power off and restarts. This is occurring in New Zealand. I have tried the suggestions from the web a few times, they have not helped

I haven't used Thunderbird on an office computer in several months. When I opened it, the most recent emails were from October of last year. Nothing seems to be updating or refreshing. How can I reactivate the account?

After fixing the view problem of my email in Thunderbird (thanks for the F8 tip!), my email stopped downloading. I have no "prompt for password" checked. There isn't a primary password checked. I've confirmed the pop outgoing email is correct with the email provider (google). I can get into it without any issues and see my emails there.

I've re-entered the password for the pop outgoing email to no avail.

Returned from a 1-month trip and my Windows11 would load - repair didn't fix it, so I had to reload Windows.

Now I'm unable to right-click on a photo and send it via my Thunderbird email. When I right-click on 'Send to', there's no email option showing.

I used to click the incoming Email and a box was highlighted for Reply? I have no desire to move from Windows 10. Why make it annoyingly difficult for older users?

Have used Thunderbird for many years - very pleased - just got a new laptop - in the past, an email sent or received from the phone was visible on the laptop - and vice versa - with the new laptop, I cannot see email I have sent on the phone - also, while on the phone I cannot see email I have sent on the new laptop - I really want these messages synchronized like they were a month ago - what do I need to do?

Does the Date field in Filters accept relative dates? I get a daily newsletter; I don't want to keep more than one. If I set it to run periodically with Date: set to "today," will it delete any mail older than today?

Hi, I've used Mozilla Thunderbird for years to import all my Tiscali (talktalk) emails with no problems.

Now, I can’t get any emails as the server settings have changed.

What server settings do I now need to get my system working again?

For whatever reason after the lastest Thunderbird update Windstream is refusing the connection to Thunderbird email client. I have gone through all of the delete .msf files for all of the inboxes tried adjusting server settings to no avail on anything.

I'm running the current version of Thunderbird on Windows 11 Pro. Several time in the last few weeks I have noticed periods where I don't seem to be getting mail. When I close Thunderbird and restart it I get batches of 10-20 email messages that had been delivered to my shaw mail account, but which Thunderbird hd stopped downloading. There were no obvious messages that it had failed.

I have an Thunderbird email account both my wife and I use on phones, tablets and PCs. We use imap on phones and tablets, and pop3 on PCs. Occasionally when downloading the email to the PCs the download stops on a specific email and will go no further. All 3 PCs stop at the same email. IMAP can see the email that haven't downloaded, and if I delete with IMAP the email after the successful downloaded email, the pop3 Clients can download the remaining email on the server. This has happened several times and I don't see anything especially weird about the offending email. Usually some small graphics but no large attachment or anything odd? Any ideas as to what is going on?Version 140.12.1esr
