I wanted a new email address so since I've been using firefox for decades. I wanted to try thunderbird. (i tried mailfence it didn't work at all) So i download thunderbird desktop. It doesn't tell me what it is. Although I've used computers for 50 years, I need explanations for new stuff. Your habit of assuming all is obvious and no explanations needed is so annoying and wastes so much time. Thunderbird says includes powerful email. Then it says email not available . go on waitlist. I put in my name. Then it talks about some pro ( thunder email?) that must be paid. None of this makes sense to me Can I or can I not get a new email? Please answer this note so my questions can be answered.

all of a sudden, my deleted emails are not going into my Trash file. They are not spam. They are just emails I've already read.

Again, all of a sudden I have a Spam folder which I do not need or want. I want my Trash folder back and I want to be able delete my emails into that folder.

Right now, and this is new, when I delete an email it completely disappears.

looking for an email i accidentally deleted from july 10. it was from walmart with a gift card from a friend. how can i access it? my deleted file only goes a couple weeks. thank you for any help. janis

No new messages have downloaded since July 31. I am very disappointed as there are several things I need to access and no way of getting support. I feel like I keep trying to email and ask questions but by using my Gmail and not my current WB for me.com email it is confused and I have been looking on Mozilla support for similar questions, but seem very overwhelmed and have tried a few of them and restarted it several times but not resolving the issue. Can someone please help and if possible give me a call <redacted>. I’m not sure how I’ll get the answer if any from this site but hopeful that it is sooner than later because I really need to get it done today.

I have a new PC. I have added five email accounts, three different hosts, with some difficulty. Thunderbird finds the details for others but then refuses with the message Authentication error. Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password.

I added Thunderbird by copying from my old PC. The hosts for those not yet added are the same as those added.

Thunderbird stopped retrieving mail from one of my accounts, does not give an error message, just says no new emails, Outlook and other devices are continuing to retrieve from this account with no issue. So the issue is with Thunderbird. Is there a text or phone number I can use with tech support to clear this issue? I checked with AI Bots to resolve this and it seems quite involved.

Hi - I created folders for important emails and placed them in there over the past few years. The folders remain but the emails have all disappeared. I'm hoping its an easy retrieval.

I need to keep all my linked yahoo account emails because they are limiting space and will soon delete them. so i tried to make local folders to drag and drop my folders to. but it will not create them. nothing happens. help ?

I sent you a very detailed email the other day unfortunately I am not sure if you got it because I could not verify it because I think you sent me a code or something to the very Email I cant get access to.

clearly as a 68 year old man who knows nothing about modern technology things like this are not what you need I am also classed as Severely disabled with various illnesses from Diabetes and sleep apnea to Ulcerative Colitis and mental health problems.I also have CTS in both hands so trying to type this out on my phone is not ideal I am not having a go at anyone but I would have thought that with the amount of intelligent people connected to technology organisations that one of them would have thought about this type of problem and came up with a simple solution it's not rocket science if the main problem I'm having is not being able to access my email and have no other accessible other ways to confirm things to you surely a freely available freephone number from the country you live in to yourselves or if you yourselves contacted the person Directly preferably on their home phone but if not their recognised mobile number and asked them some basic security questions by firstly asking them for two step verification to their mobile (if they have one) likewise I am aware not everyone had either a home phone or a mobile (or both) because of various problems I have encountered with verification methods that are not available to me or might be but I dont know how they work then surely I cannot be the only one? under the 1998 Human Rights Acts and Protocols Article 1 Protocol 1 people like myself are meant to have protective status especially here in Britain where the 2010 Equalities Act is meant to give us added protection and certain rights all I am asking for is to speak to someone who wont talk to me using Computer Jargon and at least has some Empathy and Common Sense to help me get this Sorted I use Firefox and Mozilla because I Like what you are trying to do but if you are going to cause people like myself the exact same problems I and others like me may as well just not bother with technology because the Stress it causes me in particular is simply not worth it. I just can't get Thunderbird to work. Will not send or receive emails. I had chat gpt help, still nothing. I tried last year when I had windows 10, still didn't work.

After the latest update to the program I noticed that a previous folder is missing along with its saved emails. That folder still exists along with saved messages on the ISP server. This has happened previously and then re-appeared some months later, perhaps with an application update. The rest of my folders display properly along with their saved emails.
