Yahoo.com decided to be jerks and changed everything to get into our email. I was overseas at the time and got it taken care of for the laptop I was using on my trip. When I got back home I updated the rest of my computers to the new settings. However, this computer I am on, my secondary desktop, absolutely positively does NOT show Oauth as a choice for smtp on my Pacbell.net account which has to go through Yahoo.com. All the other server settings are working fine. I can get email, I just can't resply unless I go to my Netscape.net account which goes through AOL. It shows Oauth for AOL. The rest of the computers, and even a new laptop, all work just fine and all are on version 152.01. Even SeaMonkey email has Oauth for smtp but they have done a terrible job of keeping it updated that I can't use it for my Pacbell.net account because I can't enter the new password. Everything is a blank screen for log in and password entry. I am getting tired of having to reply to messages on my Pacbell.net account through the Netscape.net account. What can I do short of a clean reinstall of windows?

I can no longer download my email from the server to my Thunderbird email client since I removed the specifics for the server with the password. I need to add it back but I don't know how. Is there a file I can edit?

I had an account for my business. The account was hosted on Google; but was listed among my Tbird accounts. I closed the business; closed the Email account on gmail; and, I deleted all the folders, and the like from my Tbird client, every reference to the deleted account.

I continually get requests to login to my account. See the attached image.

Does anyone have any idea as to what I missed?

I am trying to add an Proton mail account to Thunderbird using the Proton Mail Bridge (PMB). In the PMB guide it is recommended to uncheck Account Hub in the Setting>General. The problem is that the Account Hub still pops up when trying to add a new mail account - it simply refuses to go away regardless of several restarts of both the computer and the mail client!

I have a Google Workspace account which has my company name as a suffix, ie. @chase-design.net NOT @gmail. com. When I try to add an account automatically using the company suffix, Thunderbird does not recognize it. Is there a set-up guide that shows me step by step how to manually configure that type of setup?

2 inbox accounts appeared on my email program after an unplanned windows 11 upgrade when I was adding a new SSD on my laptop.

My original inbox was fwmc@nacs.net. The new addition is fwmc@nacs.net(IMAP) (that is the way it is displayed on my screen)

There are some duplicate emails in the 2 inboxes but also some unique emails in each box.

How can I get back to 1 inbox?

Thunderbird administers my 7 "aol" email addresses (accounts) on my Dell laptop (running Windows 7). 5 of the accounts are behaving normally, but the other two accounts appear to be linked. So, when I send an email from one of them, it appears in both "sent" folders. When I receive an email in one of them, it appears in both "in box" folders. When I visit "mail.aol.com", these 2 accounts behave normally. So it appears that they are linked within Thunderbird. Can you suggest a possible solution? Thanks, Tim

I succeed in create my addresses in thunderbird, except one, the principal of my address at Orange. They say, they recognized and then, when I click on the bottom Terminé, it's writed that there is a problem of "mot de passe" or address or "identifiant". At this part, for the others addresses, thunderbird add a linguee "identifiant" and I add a name, and after, it's OK.. But, for this address, there is no linguee "identifiant", and that don't work. I don't speak well english, I'm french, sorry. Thank you for helping me to put my address in thunderbird. Stéphanie

When I launch T-bird on my laptop, it shows "Enter your password for UCIm2Lqoc@gwtc.net on imap.gwtc.net:" There is no such email address. It is one that I briefly attempted to set up, then decided against it and used a different one. I have just now confirmed by telephone with my provider's helpdesk that there is no account with that name on their server.

    By simply hitting enter, that request disappears and T-bird shows me the messages for my primary email address, which works properly.
   But when I try to access my second email address, I keep getting the same request. 

First it says: "Login to account "cindyreed@gwtc.net" failed." and instructs me to "Enter your password for UCIm2Lqoc@gwtc.net on imap.gwtc.net:" And then, in response to everything I have tried so far: " Login to server imap.gwtc.net with username UCIm2Lqoc@gwtc.net failed." I would like to find out how to get out of this trap. Fortunately, I am able to access this second address on my cell-phone, but that is not much help when I am so frequently out of service area. I wish to add email identity deborahstpeter1@gmail.com to my account keweston82@gmail.com. Deborah is in a nursing home and as Power of Attorney I handle all her financial affairs on line. I had to replace my old computer which included Deborah's email in my Thunderbird email account but I've been unsuccessful getting her added to my new computer. I'm 83 years old and operating my old computer, which is where Mozilla's responses are going, and my new computer from which I'm communicating with Mozilla, plus two different mouses, I'm making a lot of mistakes i.e. click a computer scream with the wrong mouse. I had a problem and deleted thunderbird. Now I have reinstalled and cant get to the allow button for account setup. It seems to be way down the page and I cant sroll down to get to it.

I have a new gmail account and I can't figure out how to get Thunderbird to show me messages that come in to that address. I changed some things trying to set up a second account but emails still don't arrive. I am using a desktop computer with the most recently updated Windows 11 and updated Thunderbird too. What am I missing?

I just download the latest version of Thunderbird, and try to add my pop mail account. But after i enter the info of outgoing server settings, the Continue button is gray and can't be clicked. once I try the test, it says that Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account. Can't find a server. Also i find that there is no place enter the password of my mail account.
