I am troubleshooting for a friend who is running Thunderbird 102.9.1.

He is using Thunderbird with an email account on cinci.rr.com mail server. It has been working for some time on a PC I set up for him last fall. Starting earlier this week, he has not been able to send an email to any person with a gmail.com account. He can send to any of the other email addresses in his contact list but not gmail.com addresses. He is able to use cinci.rr.com webmail and send to the gmail addresses. He does not get any message telling him the email we not delivered.

I sent him a message from my gmail account. He was able to receive it and he replied to it. There is a copy of the email in his sent folder, however, I never received it. I checked all of the boxes in my gmail account but nothing shows up.

I think there was a new update that came out earlier this week and am checking if this may have anything to do with the problem.

He likes Thunderbird but is concerned over the problem.

Hi!

I signed up for a private email service and they recommended I access it thru thunderbird.

To sign up for thunderbird I had to use my gmail in order to access the verification number.

Now thunderbird has downloaded my entire gmail account AND made gmail my default opening on thunderbird which is the opposite of what I want.

How do I remove gmail from thunderbird and how do I set up the other service?

So, I just followed a very helpful YouTube video by Tasia Custode on downloading all emails in Gmail. My purpose is to create an historic archive of essential emails from my recently deceased father's gmail account that I will be able to access after I delete his account. So I went from Google Takeout to a download of his emails in mbox format to creating a Thunderbird account in which all his gmail messages that we want to retain are now legible and accessible.

But ...... will I still be able to access these messages in Thunderbird if I proceed with the final step of deleting the original gmail account? I don't dare proceed with deletion until you can confirm that the messages will remain accessible after deletion of the core account, which is no longer needed.

I appreciate your assistance with this. I was unable to find an article or FAQ that addressed this question, so thanks in advance for your help.

Thunderbird is successfully sending emails for a new email account but not receiving them for the account. Can receive emails on the account on iPhone. It's an IMAP account. Server is right. Port is right (993). User Name right. Security set SSL/TLS. Authentication set for Normal Password. Password is same as for sending so know working. Have checked with tech support at host and they say set up correctly on their end. 3 other email accounts hosted on same server are receiving.

Hello. How do you add email addresses to an existing email account. For example If you have xyz.com and you want to add admin@xyz.com, or support@xyz.com. A prompt response would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Title says it all. This started suddenly yesterday on a Macbook Pro. T-Bird. 102.9.1 (64-bit)

Email disappears from inbox after I read it. It is downloaded to the Mac, not IMAP.

Not all email attachments are showing up with Thunderbird. Using a cell phone app, I email reports to myself generated by the app as pdf's.

When I use a browser on computer to access my email account with protonmail, I can see and download the attachments.

However often these attachments do not always show and cannot be accessed using Thunderbird.

I have attached screen shots of Thunderbird and browser views showing that the attachments are there with the browser, but not Thunderbird.

This can also be shown using protonmail's android phone app (screen shots not provided). The files are there on the email server, but most (not all) of them cannot be seen/downloaded using Thunderbird.

I have been using thunderbird for the last couple of years since incredimail closed down. But in the last couple of days i switched my broadband supplier, i can still receive emails but can no longer send any. My new supplier is imagine, i set the smtp to smtp.imagine.ie and also tried mail.imagine.ie but neither will work. I spoke to imagine technical support on the phone and they got me to do a ping test with their server and it connected. They then informed me that the fault lies with my email client.

I have unchecked "Enable adaptive junk mail controls for this account" on the Account Settings/Junk Settings page.

I have unchecked "Enable adaptive junk filter logging" on the Global Junk Preferences/Security/Junk popup.

But messages still keep being placed in a mailbox called SPAM.

I don't want any messages sent to any boxes except my inbox. I don't care who or what tool thinks they are SPAM. I want them in my inbox.

What do I do to make this happen?

I was wondering if the ability to move the new supernova bar below the email tabs (and menu bar) is still going to be possible like it was in Thunderbird version 110; Since 112, its been stuck above both the menu & email tab bar, with no in GUI ability to change it location.\

I need help finding a repair person who makes house calls in the Denver, CO area. I am having problems with Thunderbird mail, smtp, passwords and Microsoft. I have spent a long time trying to fix the problem but I have run out of time and need to get the problem fixed. I understand that this would not be a free service.

I have 5 different Gmail email groups in my Thunderbird installation. In 4 of the accounts when I delete an email they are gone. In one account deleted emails show up in the trash list. How do I change that account so the deleted emails are gone and trash is empty.

Not sure if this is a Thunderbird problem but I've never had it until I moved to Thunderbird. When I reply to some email addresses it completely breaks the thread and starts a fresh email with only the subject line kept. See attached.
