MacOS Sonoma 14.4 seems to have broken a number of apps. AFter updating to Sonoma 14.4 I experienced a great number of crashes with Thunderbird, so I completely uninstalled Thunderbird and removed all traces of plists, Application preferences, everything, reinstalled Thunderbird, and added back the two email accounts I use with it.

It now takes up to 30 seconds to start up Thunderbird, after which it happily no longer crashes, but obviously the startup time is unacceptable. I experience the same problem with Typora, and the developers there informed me that they believe the problem is with a Sonoma change that broke WebKit. I don't know if Thunderbird still uses Gecko or if the new version is WebKit. Please let me know if other Sonoma users have reported this problem or if it's just my system.

I am using TBird v115.10.1 and I need to be able to EXPORT my contacts to an Excel .CSV file. My version of TBird does not offer any customisation of the Export function.

I sent an email with multiple BCCs and no CCs or TOs, I put myself as one of the BCCs.

I did not receive it and I do not think anybody else did as well since I asked a few people.

The email is in the sent folder. I tried forwarding the email from my sent folder to myself as CC, and that worked. I also tried fowarding as BCC, and that worked.

So what is going on? Is BCC working? How can I know for certain? Do I need to foward the email as BCCs to all my BCCs to get this to work?

Hi, I have had Thunderbird on my Windows 10 laptop successfully for many years. Today I added a new email account, but then Thunderbird kept losing connection. I thought I'd try uninstalling and re-installing it, but now I get the message that it can't be installed on my laptop. Anyone know how I can get round this?

Where are by Thunderbird gmails stored? I am running two email server programs right now (Outlook and Thunderbird). Outlook stores gmail in the cloud and there are thousands of them, Naturally I do not want TBird to store all emails on my hard drive but I am told they are on my hard drive. If so this will eat up ALL my disc space. Where does TBird store my emails? If on my drive then how to I control how many are saved there and what will saved in the gmail cloud?

Tell me how I can continue to use thunderbird with the above account and also Denis.Clarke.hotmail.com after September 18. I have 4 individual historic E mail accounts and thunderbird joins them together. What do you need to do? To deal with threat below.

i cant send emails i can receive emails i get this message (1. Login to server smtp.telstra.com with username hammyelectrical@bigpond.com failed) ( 2. Sending of the message failed. I came to Thunderbird because I have been using an email server - btinternet - for many years and it has become clogged with a backlog of emails many of which were not opened and remain so. I would like to retain my email address, John.romm@btinternet.com, it is a vitally important one for my work. But I would ike to use and manage it Thunderbird which is already working well for me. However, it is important to do both of two things. First, I need to bulk delete all unopened emails - some 160,000 of them. And second, I would like to construct filters to keep a wide range of incoming emails out of my inbox. Please help!

Microsoft sent me this: Various non-Microsoft applications will have their own steps for connecting to your Outlook.com email account using modern authentication methods. See our help article - Modern Authentication Methods now needed to continue syncing Outlook Email in non-Microsoft email apps. However, you may need to contact the creators of those applications to provide you with instructions. In many cases, simply removing and re-adding your account with the latest version of that application will configure it to use modern authentication methods.

Will Thunderbird continue to link me to Outlook? If so, how?

my husband has been using mozilla thunderbird for a long time. it is easier for him than anyother. today he can't even get it to open up properly. Any help would be great
