I've read the articles on creating a HTML Signature. I am a novice with it comes to HTML.

I have several email addresses on various ISPs. What I want to do is create one Signature file that extracts the account's email address so that I can use the signature file in more than one email account. Is there information somewhere about how to do this?

As a company we've been using apple mail with the mail tags plug in for years. Now that apple no longer allows plug ins with mail I'm looking for a new solution for our team of 50 with many shared IMAP accounts.

Will tags in Thunderbird share across IMAP accounts to multiple devices or are they device specific? I need to know specifically about custom tags, we need more than the 4 or 5 standard tags to share across devices.

Mine just shows a yellow header but doesn't put it into the junk folder. I have it marked in preferences to put junk in the junk folder, but it only works if it doesn't know it's junk and I click that it's junk.

Hello, I have been using Thunderbird with the Manually Sort Folders app for years. The ability to place folders and subfolders where I need them is essential for what I do. With the latest Thunderbird "upgrade", it was downgraded as the Manually Sort Folders app is no longer useable. Until Mozilla fixes it to where either the app can be used or Thunderbird is improved so that it will let me sort folders itself, I cannot upgrade. Please either render the Manually Sort Folders app useable again or make Thunderbird so that folder can be sorted. Thank you.

THUNDERBIRD email does not show download activity. Can't tell if there are no messages available or if there is a problem with the server. 115.8.1 64 bit on Linux Mint. Is there a setting that needs to be toggled ?

Basically, you add a new CardDAV Address Book; and then use this link as the location https://www.googleapis.com/carddav/v1/principals/myemail@gmail.com/lists/default/ P.S I did change "myemail@gmail.com" to my actual email address.

It fetches contacts from Gmail but it won't upload contacts from TB to Gmail; which is what I need TB to do so that I can keep contacts synchronizes across multiple laptops. I only add contacts from TB and won't use Gmail to add new contacts.

Is there a something that I need to set within Gmail to get this to work or it is just not possible at the moment to synchronize in both directions?

In my account setup, under default identity, "Your Name" section, I have entered my first name. But when I apparently send out emails, my entire name is listed in the "from" bar.....

How can I prevent this from happening? I do not want my full name going out in any email(s).

I receive regular emails fro my federal representative and each is tagged as a scam. There seems to be no way to change the scam settings! Why not? The base address is @mail.house.gov .

I have five mailboxes and am migrating from Outlook. The transfer of the mailboxes was done successfully by Thunderbird but the order of the mailboxes from top to bottom is not what I want. I want to have my most used email account at the top of the list. Is their a way to rearrange the mailbox order from top to bottom?

I am using Thunderbird email and I have set several signature using signature switch. I have in account settings to put my signature below my text but above the quoted text. When I click on 'Reply' or 'Forward', the initial signature is as it should be but when I click on signature switch to pick a signature and click on the one I want my signature then is put BELOW the quoted text??? It will not put it above the quoted text as I have set. How do I fix this problem?

Okay. It's 2024 and after reading very stale suggestions for editing code I'm left wondering what mindset within the TB development community thinks the default of vertical lines applied during an email exchange is desired by most users? Is it really that difficult to have the default be NO lines with an easily selected option to use lines if desired? Seems like it'd be a sought after option.

Long time user of TB. Have worked with a number of signatures over the years. I occasionally have the below problem. This time it has become quite frustrating.

I have pictures in my email signature.

I have recently moved folders for all of my data. I get it. I need to update the path information for the HTML (built in MS Word) file. I have done that.

The signature is there... the images are not. The borders around the images are there, the images are not.

I do not know what is blocking the images from coming through.

I have the same issure on another computer that I use. Though I have never been abale to ge the pictures to load on that system. Borders only.

Google is implementing new requirements for mail sent to Gmail account holders. Among other things, bulk mailers have to include certain new header information in emails that reference that the sender has implemented one-click unsubscribe.

Because I send out a newsletter to 40,000 subscribers using a separate mailing program, I have customized the headers there easily. But since I also send personal and/or single emails from Thunderbird using the same domain, I want to add a custom header so any individual emails from Thunderbird will also have the new header info and not be automatically deleted by Google/Gmail.

How can I add a customized header to emails I send from Thunderbird 115.4.1 to comply with Google's new requirements?

The lines I have to add are like this:

List-Unsubscribe-Post: List-Unsubscribe=One-Click List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:<MYNAME@MYDOMAIN.COM?subject=Unsubscribe&body=remove <a href="/en-US/kb/new?title=-Email-" class="new" title="Page does not exist.">-Email-

Hello fine people, forgive me im a noob, first day kn thunderbird... I would like all of my email to show together from both of my Gmail accounts. In Gmail it available as "all mailboxes"

I see that when I search it searches all accounts, that's super cant do that on Gmail but I just cant figure out how to combine my inboxes so scanning the days mail is more easy the way I like it

Hi An association creates an event in ProtonCalendar and designs me as a participant. So I received an invitation, nice. Reading the message I have a button "Accept" in which there is a "Send a response to the author". When I click on that button, the event is correctly added to my personal calendar and it is said that a response has been sent. But, the response is not in my "Sent" directory and the association never receive the response. What am I missing ? Is there a way to get that working?

I use Thunderbird for 6 email addresses. All but one I can make the font bold (& do other things). I studied & compared & can't find one refuses to allow me to change to a bold font.

I'm facing an issue with the Import/Export Tools NG add-on in Thunderbird, and I'm hoping to find some guidance or a solution here. I have an mbox file with approximately 1200 emails that I need to import into my Gmail account. I've been following the process of importing the mbox file into a local folder on my Mac and then moving that folder to my Gmail account within Thunderbird. However, I'm consistently running into a problem where only 39 of those emails get imported into Gmail, no matter how many times I attempt the process.

Here are the steps I've followed based on instructions I found online: 1. I used the Import/Export Tools NG to import the mbox file into a local folder within Thunderbird. 2. After the import appears successful, with all emails visible in the local folder, I then drag and drop that folder into my Gmail account within Thunderbird. 3. The process begins, but only 39 emails are transferred to the Gmail folder. The rest seem to be ignored or fail to import.

Some additional information that might be helpful: - I'm using Thunderbird on a Mac. - The mbox file contains about 1200 emails. - I've tried repeating the process multiple times, always with the same result of only 39 emails being imported. - There don't seem to be any error messages; the process just stops after 39 emails.

I'm at a bit of a loss on how to proceed and would greatly appreciate any advice, insights, or solutions you might have. Could this issue be related to the size of the mbox file, a limitation within Gmail, or perhaps something I'm missing in the Import/Export process?
