In the last couple of weeks I have been unable to retrieve my email using Thunderbird or outlook from Namecheap servers. They offer a solution specifically for thunderbird solution solution /setup they tell you to use server address for server part in client setup mine is https://premium288.web-hosting.com

none of this works diffrent machines clients all return a fail to find in various wording

so anyone else have a problem with namecheap?

I use Thunderbird in full screen mode on a high resolution monitor. I keep overlooking attachments because the tiny paperclip and the tiny link to the attachment at the bottom of the screen are too easy to miss. A more obvious visual cue is needed. Perhaps display the paperclip in a contrasting color and move the attachment link to just below the message header instead of putting it at the very bottom of the screen so far from the message body? Up to now this was just an inconvenience, but today it actually cost me $50 because of an attached notice I missed even though I had read the email several times.

My Thunderbird emails are fine directly on my laptop, but when I attach an external monitor everything becomes to pixelated I cannot easily read my email If I restart Thunderbird in Troubleshoot Mode with no addons or themes, it gets much better, but I use the add ons!

Thunderbird decided to update itself to 115.3.3 (64-bit) today. Not pleased.

The main screen is basically divided in to three areas (boxes). On the left I have my different email accounts, lower down I have my folders for saved messages (1).

Top right is showing message headers (Subject, From, Recipient, Date etc.) (2).

Under the above box is more details of message header, then under that is the message 'body'.

I can easily change the vertical divider bar between the left box (1) and the two stacked boxes on the right (2), Good :)

However the horizontal divider between the top right box and the bottom right box has limited movement, so I'm unable to enlarge the message 'body' section (3) to be able to read more than a line or two. Also it would help if the top of section 3 where the From, To, Subject and Date are repeated from box 2 were removed (as I said, they're repeats of box 2) leaving more space for the message body contents.

I've found some settings for font size which helped a little, but how do I improve on what you can see in my image please?

I suspect I could change the screen resolution, but with my poor eye sight, how do I read the text in other programs?

I've read some articles about this but I can't find what they're talking about. What is the message header? I'm not sure when this started but I don't like it, it's confusing about what message I'm reading or discussing. I only want to see one message at a time and I can't seem to change the setting.

I'm not sure I'm in the right place but I have a problem opening my Thunderbird email. It keeps telling me that it's open and to close but nothing happens. I can't close it and it's not actually open. I've rebooted my computer but Thunderbird still insists it's open. What can I do? I can't access and folders or emails. Should I uninstall it and reinstall it? Really hope you can help me

Still able to access email ([edited] @usa.net) from web interface...

I have switched to work remotely and have transferred all my Thunderbird settings from my PC to my laptop.

I got to my new remote work place and can't receive any emails using my accounts set up in Thunderbird.

It is the same whether I use Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo.

I have tried many things but basically have taken all defaults for setting up email accounts. I am using Windows 11 Home and I am not going through a VPN. My Thunderbird version is 115.3.3 (64-bit)

For example for Gmail I get:

Non-overridable TLS error occurred. Handshake error or probably the TLS version or certificate used by server imap.gmail.com is incompatible.

Hello. I am using 2 email accounts in Office365 and I am using Thinderbird. I can send emails from one email account which is on the Office365, but can´t send any emails from another Office365 account in Thinderbird. Settings of the SMTP server are just the same for both. I don´t understand the reason. It worked perfectly until this new update of Thinderbird. Could anybody help with a quick solution? Thank you. Katarina
