I got this message from Microsoft/Jag fick det här meddelandet från Microsoft:

Since the last time I updated to 102.3.2 (64-bit), I have not been able to view any images in Thunderbird emails. I have checked the support and nothing works. There are some emails have a link to view them online, others don't and are totally unreadable. There are no links to images to click on in some emails which make the email totally unreadable. Please help me be able to see my images again.

Hi...Since this last update, I have lost all my subfolders. I found them, I cannot remember where and tried copying them into different folders and rebooting Thunderbird but they are still missing from the left pane. Adding to my confusion is that now I have both a pop3 account and an IMAP account showing...I am wondering if someone can offer a simple solution to this problem. I have looked on the forums, but some of the solutions confuse me. So the simpler the better, if possible. Thank you so much. T.

I have Thunderbird set up with four email accounts. Recently, one of them has started saving Sent emails in the Local Sent folder. (Until I found this I thought that they were not being saved at all). Checking the Account Settings shows that the 'Place a copy in' option is correctly set to save in the Sent folder of that account. (see attachment) Can anyone suggest why this has happened and how I can fix the problem? All the other three accounts save in the correct Sent folder.

Hey there, I updated thunderbird some while ago to 102.5.0 (32-Bit). After some time, I noticed that I don't get my any contacts from my address book shown in the recipient field of my new mail window.

Does anyone have an idea what happened? I changed nothing in my settings, and it worked before the update.

Thanks

I just added a contact by right clicking on the email address in a message. When I start a new message and start typing the person's name, it comes up. When I go to the address book, a search also turns it up. But going to any address book or to the default "all address books," then scrolling down, doesn't show it. How can that be?

I should say that the interface for the address book or books has changed since I last used it, and it's a bit puzzling too. One can use the scroll bar to move down the lists, but it defaults to a search interface, and simply clicking on a list item and hitting a key no longer takes one to names beginning with that letter. How strange. Pointers?

Thank you,

Whenever I first respond to an email in Thunderbird I am unable to review what I responded with inline with the ongoing conversation.

I see the purple arrow indicating that I did respond, but there is nowhere in the Sent Mail tab or opening the original email in a Conversation tab that allows me to read through the entire correspondence with both sides of the conversation in context. When replies do accumulate enough for the drop-down appear, it is only the other person's emails that are displayed.

This is incredibly inconvenient and, were it not for that purple arrow at the very least, unassuring in the cases where I want to double check if my email successfully went through to begin with.

Would love to know if I'm simply missing a setting I can toggle on to view both sides of these email threads in one place!

Thank you

I'm using Thunderbird 68.12.1 with Windows 10 on a Dell Inspiron laptop computer. I have 6 accounts and I've accidentally messed up the locations of default folders and sub-folders -- it happened when I was not watching the screen and was using the TAB key when I thought I was using the SHIFT key (!!).

The folders Inbox, Sent, Deleted, Junk etc are all at the top level with Account folders as sub-folders instead of the other way round. A snip of the top of my folder structure is attached and I hope that makes sense. I can't move any of the wayward folders back to where they should be. Any help would be much appreciated.

Dear all, One of my email accounts no longer exists, but I would like to keep the emails that are saved in Thunderbird for future reference. How can I delete the account in Thunderbird, or at least stop Thunderbird from attempting to authenticate and load new emails, while saving old emails? Apologies if this question has already been asked, but I was unable to find any help on the subject.

Thank you!

WIN7 Starlink Internet Latest version of Thunderbird

Thunderbird stopped being able to send all of a sudden through gmail. I can receive messages fine. I keep getting an error about timing out on SMTP server. All server settings are correct per gmail's outgoing server page. It was working for a few minutes last night after hours of messing around with this issue then stopped again. I've installed another client and it worked for about an hour then stopped being able to send as well.

Things I've done: Delete profile (kept messages) - setup email again Uninstalled and reinstalled TB Completely disabled antivirus Increased time out in TB settings

Settings: smtp.gmail.com port 587 (tried 465 as well) Connection security: SSL/TLS Authentication: OAuth2

Driving me nuts because this is for my business and have to send emails through the gmail webpage.

Thanks for any direction!

Can I edit a received email? In some cases after received an email it is useful to add some notes or other comment. I have found there was a plugin for this, but it was not updated. I have tried to export to emb file and add the comment externally from TB but I could not find the way to import again into TB. I used this feature in the past on Outlook, and in my opinion it is a convenience feature. Is there any plan to include it in future TB versions?

My Thunderbird crashed twice within a few days - I have no idea what caused it. The crash meant that TB disappeared completely. I was devastated.

I was VERY lucky that at the 1st time I had backed up only a few days before. By extracting the data contained in user\roaming\Thunderbird and copying it back I managed to retrieve my received emails and all the Local Folders. What was missing are all the sent emails.

The same happened with the 2nd restoration: the received emails are there but not the sent ones. Question: where can I find the sent emails so I can restore them as well?

I can't create a second email account that uses the same incoming and outgoing server. When I click Done it just says "Incoming server already exists."

Why is Thunderbird not allowing me to add another email address? I don't get it.

Thanks, in advance.

I have a problem with Thunderbird (TB) installed on a Windows 10 PC. I think the problem may started with release 102.5.1, but I cannot be sure. I removed and reinstalled TB but the problem continues and is as follows.

I seem to be able to run TB only in Troubleshooting Mode.

If I close TB and wish to reopen it by clicking on the TB icon on the task bar, all I get is an expanded task bar item comprising the icon, the number of unread emails and the name of the TB folder that was last in use. The same happens if I search for the TB app and open it from there.

I found that if I right click the TB icon in the task bar, a contextual menu appears. Selecting the TB option has the same effect as above, but selecting the “Write new message” option opens a new window with (what I believe to be) the normal screen layout for composing a new email message which I can then send as usual.

If, instead of composing a new message, I navigate to the Help menu and select “Troubleshoot mode” and accept the options to “Restart” and then “Continue in Troubleshoot mode”, I find that I can use TB petty much as normal with all my folders and emails available.

If at anytime I choose to go to Help and Turn off troubleshoot mode, the original problem recurs.

Likewise, the original problem recurs if I close and restart TB.

How can I get TB to open immediately into the normal mode?

BTW, I do not use the calendar, but email addresses are suggested so presumably some form of address book is in use.
